A column of forces of the regime reaches Afrin and another similar one prepares to go according to the agreement between YPG and the regime forces

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Several reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the reports about the withdrawal of the forces of the regime from Afrin and returning to their positions in Aleppo are completely false reports, where the sources confirmed that a column of these forces has arrived to Afrin area, and the forces were deployed in their positions, while another column is still preparing to go to Afrin area, but the column has stopped after shelling by the forces of “Olive Branch” operation on areas of its presence at Al-Ziyara crossing between regime forces’ controlled areas and the area of Afrin.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past few hours that the explosions shook areas in the countryside of Afrin, caused by shelling by the “Olive Branch” Operation Forces who targeted areas in the southeastern countryside of Afrin, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned the shelling coincided with the entry of the vehicles and machines of regime’s forces to Afrin area, in order to be deployed in accordance with the agreement reached between YPG and the regime forces, accompanied by shelling by YPG and the forces of the regime on areas of presence of the “Olive Branch” Operation Forces, at the borderline between Turkey and Afrin, while the clashes continue on the fronts between the Kurdish Forces against the Turkish Forces and the rebel and the Islamic factions, in areas in the northeastern and southwestern countryside of Afrin, in conjunction with clashes in Rajo area in the western sector of Afrin, amid exchange of targeting on the clash areas between both parties, where the “Olive Branch” Operation Forces have managed until now to control 49 villages, in addition to Bulbula town, which is about 14% of the total villages of Afrin.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that The Syrian Observatory was published about an hour ago that the SOHR monitored the regime forces began to enter Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, which witnesses since the 20th of January 2018, an attack by the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions operating in “Olive Branch” Operation Forces, through which they managed to control about 14% of the villages of Afrin in one month, where they controlled so far a town and 49 villages and managed to control about 50 km of the northern borderline of Afrin with the Turkish – Syrian borders. They also controlled the districts of Jandyaras, Raju, Sheikh Hadeed, in the western part of Afrin countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the entry of vehicles loaded with weapons and heavy and medium machine guns, in addition to armored vehicles, carrying tens of soldiers and members, within the implementation of the agreement reached between the regime forces and the Kurdish forces, which allows the regime forces to be deployed in the area of Afrin and the contact lines with “Olive Branch” operation forces.
