The regime forces and the warplanes and helicopters affiliated to them and their allies continue to escalate their shelling for about 60 hours targeting the besieged Ghouta of Damascus

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes and helicopters renewed their targeting to the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus today morning, Wednesday the 21st of February 2018, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out 6 raids on areas in Zamalka city and Hazza town, while the helicopters dropped explosive barrels on areas in Arbin and Ein Tarma town, which resulted in the injury if 10 persons in Ein Tarma, and the regime forces also shelled this morning, areas in Arbin city and Hazrma town, while the regime forces targeted after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday, areas in the towns of Otaya, Hazrma and Al-Nashabiyah in Al-Marj area, by more than 100 shells and missiles, which resulted in the fall of wounded in Al-Nashabiyah.

In the same context, a man died affected by the injury he had as a result of bombardment by warplanes on areas in Kafr Batna town yesterday, raising to 107 including 19 children and 16 woman, the number of civilian people who were killed and documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights yesterday as a result of the aerial and rocket shelling on Nashabiyah, KafrBatna, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyyah, Mesraba, Ashari, raising in turn the death toll to 251 including 58 children and 42 woman, the number of civilian people who have been killed and documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the night of Sunday the 18th of February 2018, due to the intense and insane shelling and bombardment in the Eastern Ghouta; by hundreds of barrel bombs, missiles, raids, shells, missiles and artillery shell, also the shelling has injured more than 1200 civilians, including tens of children and women, some of whom are still in serious situations, and others have had permanent disabilities.
