19 casualties in renewed shelling and as a result of extracting more bodies from the rubble of the destruction raise the number of casualties in the Eastern Ghouta to about 440

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: continuous killing and continuous extraction of bodies, from the rubble of the destruction, caused by raids, missiles, explosive barrels and shells, which target the Eastern Ghouta continuously, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out a massacre today in Douma city leaving 5 casualties including 2 children and a citizen woman while others were injured, raising to 9, the number of people who were killed to day, in the aerial and ground shelling on Douma, Zamalka, Otaya and Hamouriyah, and the warplanes targeted areas in Saqba city which resulted in the injury of 15 citizens, while the warplanes targeted areas in Beit Sawa town and Hamouriyah city, in conjunction with dropping tens of explosive barrels by helicopters, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, while the SOHR monitored that the rescue teams extracted the dead bodies of 10 citizens, including a child girl and a woman, from the rubble of the destruction in Arbin city, raising to 15 at least, the number of those who were killed in raids on the city yesterday.

And with the death of more citizens and extracting the bodies of others, it has increased to 436 citizens including 99 children and 63 women, the number of the civilian casualties who have been killed since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, and the casualties are: 9 citizens were killed today, 70 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 85 citizens including 20 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 128 citizens including 29 children and 16 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, in aerial, missile and artillery bombardments on Saqba, Mesraba, Otaya and Ashari area.

And the renewed bombardment by the warplanes and helicopters as well as the intensive ground shelling, resulted in increasing the number of wounded to about 2231 civilians, while there are tens of missing people under the rubble caused by the rocket, artillery and aerial shelling on the cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta, which may increase the death toll, in addition to the presence of a large number of injuries, some of them have serious injuries, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the bombardment of the warplanes and helicopters as well as the intensive shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, resulted in getting 10 hospitals and medical points out of service as a result of their targeting in Saqba, Douma, Beit Sawa, Jesrin, Arbin and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, to decrease the ability of medical capacity even more, and crowd the places with the wounded who flock as a result of heavy and ongoing shelling by the regime forces,  led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, which paves the way for a wide military operation in the Eastern Ghouta, through which the regime forces aim to regain the control of it.
