The aerial and artillery shelling kill and injure more than 30 civilians since today morning in the Eastern Ghouta and more than half of them were killed and injured during the period of the truce

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the aerial shelling continue on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus after the end of the Russian “humanitarian truce”, which is 5-hour ceasefire in the Eastern Ghouta, and the SOHR monitored 3 airstrikes carried out by warplanes on areas in the city of Harasta, causing the injury of 11 citizens, including children and women, while a child was killed as result of 2 airstrikes carried out by warplanes on areas in the town of Mesraba. The warplanes also carried out two airstrikes today on areas in the city of Douma, and the death toll is still expected to increase due to the presence of several injured in serious conditions, rising to 5, the number of martyrs documented by the SOHR today. The causalities are a child who was killed in airstrikes that targeted Mesraba, a man and a child were killed in artillery shelling on Jesrin town during the period of the truce, and a man was killed in shelling before the truce on the outskirts of Douma city, and a citizen woman died due to the collapse of her house affected by the previous shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, while 26 citizens were injured with different severity, including children and women. The SOHR documented the recovery of 5 dead bodies of citizens including 2 children and a woman which were recovered from under the rubble caused by the destruction of the house as result of the aerial shelling on the area located between the towns of Beit Sawa and Mesraba.

In addition to these airstrikes, the Eastern Ghouta witnessed today during the truce hours 4 raids by warplanes on areas in Harasta city, 2 raids on areas in Zamalka city, 2 raids on areas in Douma city and Hosh Al-Dawahra town, 2 raids on areas in Aftries Farms, a raid on Mesraba town, and 2 raids on areas in Arbin city, as well as 2 raids on Kafr Batna town, which resulted in the injury of 10 citizens with varying severity in Mesraba town, while the helicopters dropped 4 explosive barrels on areas in Al-Shifonyyah, and the regime forces fired 4 shells on areas in Jesrin town, which resulted in the death of a child and a citizen as well as the injury of 6 other citizens, while they targeted Mesraba town by a shell leaving a wounded, the regime forces also shelled the outskirts of Harasta city by 3 shells while they targeted the orchards stretched between Douma and Harasta.
