Clashes continue in the abolition war between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and factions working in the Syrian north

The clashes continue between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against Ahrar al-Sham and Soqur al-Sham in areas north of Idlib, in the 8th day of the abolition war in Idlib Province, and the Syrian Observatory monitored that the clashes are concentrating in the areas of Qaa’, Kafrluseen, Uqayribat and Deir Hassan, amid exchange of shelling and targeting between both parties, and information about more human losses, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that clashes renewed in areas in the countryside of Idlib within the abolition war between the major factions of the Syrian north, where the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes between the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Soqur al-Sham against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, in the areas of Uqayribat, Kafrluseen, Qah Atma, and Deir Hassan in the northern countryside of Idlib, and in Ihsim area in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, in a counter attack carried out by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in order to regain what it lost to Ahrar al-Sham and Soqur al-Sham during the last few days, and the Observatory monitoring Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham re-take control of Deir Hassan, Qah, Kafrluseen, Uqayribat and Atma, and the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a man and a woman as a result of the random gunshot in the clashes between both parties in Kafrluseen, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that factions operating within “Defeat the Invaders” operations composed of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement, Al-Rahman Corps, Jaysh Al-Islam, Jaysh al-Izza, Jaysh al-Nasr, the Free Idlib Army, Jaysh al-Nukhba, the Second Army, the Division-1 infantry, Liwa Al-Arba’in and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement, deployed in the positions and points which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from, in the northern countryside of Hama, thus, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham lost its presence in this countryside, and its existence in Hama province decreased greatly, with the exception of positions where it is still located in the southern countryside of Hama adjacent the northern countryside of Homs, and sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham carried out successive withdrawal operations during the past 72 hours, with the continuation of the raging of the abolition war which confined the existence of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, as the latter withdrew successively from the areas, villages, towns and cities it was located in or used to control in Idlib countryside, and it finished its presence completely in the western section of the countryside of Aleppo province.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, Soqur Sham and their supporting groups controlling Tal Ass, al-Rakaya, Sehyan, Babulin and Hish in the southern countryside of Idlib, also Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from Taftanaz Airbase, Tal al-Rakama near al-Dana, Hirsh Kafruma, Kafr Luseen border crossing with Turkey, and Sarmada town in which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham has evacuated its headquarters, and information about the release of prisoners who were held by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, also Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from the surroundings Khan Shaykhun city, which is free of the Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham now, where Jaysh Al-Izza set up checkpoints at the outskirts of the city, while clashes are taking place between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham against Ahrar Sham movement in Sheik Mustafa area, while SOHR received information about the withdrawal of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham from another areas, this withdrawal comes after the successive withdrawals of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham since the 20th of this month from Al-Hbit, Al-Hbit checkpoint, Abdeen, Horsh Abdeen, Horsh al-Qassabiyyeh, Tremla and its outskirts, Karsaa, Maarrat Al-Sain, Hish, Marayan, Ihsim, Maarrat al-Nu’man and most of its outskirts, Rowayha, Al-Dana, Jaradah, Mantaf, Ariha, Maarbalit, Shalkh, Ram Hamdan, Kafar Yahmoule, Maarrat Misrin, Haranbush, the village of Sheikh Bahr, Al-Fiqia, Wadi Al-Deif Camp, Hazanu, Batabu and Killi, and Ahrar Al-Sham also strengthened its control in the villages of Sahl al-Ghab, and advanced in other areas in Jabal al-Zawiyah and Jabal Shashabo, where the fighting escalated in Idlib countryside, and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was forces to withdraw from several areas without fighting, due to the lack of its members, or its successive withdrawal to areas where its military power is bigger, and the SOHR monitored yesterday the 27th of February 2018, that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew suddenly from all of its controlled areas in the western section of Aleppo province, and headed to Idlib, where they withdrew from the Regiment 46, the first and second countryside of Al-Mohandessin, Tadil, Sheikh Ali, Kafr Halab, Kafr Nasih, Kafr Karmin, Al-Tawameh, Al-Sahara, Kafrnaha, Khan Al-Asal, Al-Muhamiyyin countryside, after they withdrew yesterday from Darat Izza, Taqad, Batabu, Qalaat Sam’an, Jabal Sheikh Barakat, Kafr Nasih, Basratun, Uwayjil and other areas in the western countryside of Aleppo, thus, the presence of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was completely end in the western countryside of Aleppo, and almost completely in Aleppo province, where the presence of Tahrir Al-Sham is confined to local fighters in the southern countryside of Aleppo of the people of the area, located in areas in the southern countryside of the province.

The violent fighting which started on the 20th of February 2018, accompanied by shelling by tanks and mortar shells, and which also targeted residential neighborhoods in the towns and villages which are witnessing clashes between the conflicting factions, raged massive resentment in the area, amid civil calls to stop the fighting and open fronts against the regime forces instead of this fighting which citizens described as free services for their enemies, in addition to calls to stop the random shelling between the conflicting parties, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since the start of fighting on the 20th of February 2018, the death of 15 citizens including 6 children and 4 women, as a result of shelling and random shootings in the countryside of both Aleppo and Idlib, and the SOHR also documented the death of 156 fighters at least of the conflicting parties in Idlib and Aleppo, where 94 members at least of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed during the shelling and clashes against Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement in the western countryside of Aleppo, and against Ahrar Al-Sham and Soqur Al-Sham in Idlib countryside, and 62 fighters of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement ,Ahrar Al-Sham and Soqur Al-Sham, who were killed during the shelling and clashes in the area, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of a large number of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded, in addition to information about other casualties the SOHR is not able to document so far.
