As a part of their campaign to trap the besieged factions… the regime forces take the control of Al-Shiffuniyya town almost completely after destroying large parts of it

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam, in the eastern section of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory monitored that the regime forces managed to achieve new and important advancement, where the regime forces managed to take the control of Al-Shiffuniyya town almost completely, in which the town witnessed during the past few days, intensive bombardment by warplanes and helicopters and the regime forces, by missiles, bombs, explosive barrels and shells, which resulted in destroying large parts of it, and the SOHR learned that Al-Rahman Corps involved in the combat operations in the side of Jaysh Al-Islam, in order to repel the advancement of the regime forces led by the Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, and the clashes are accompanied by intensive and violent artillery and rocket shelling which targeted a number of areas in the Eastern Ghouta, and information about more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where the warplanes targeted by intensive raids as well as artillery and rocket shelling on the cities of Douma and Harasta as well as other areas in the besieged Ghouta.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published few hours ago, that it has increased to 60 at least including several officers and a local commander in the “Tiger’s” forces, the number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory until now during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta, since the 25th of February 2018, until today the first of March 2018, while it has increased to 34 fighters at least of Jaysh Al-Islam were killed in the same fighting, and the clashes resulted in the fall of wounded and captives in the ranks of the regime forces as well as the injury of fighters in the ranks of Jaysh Al-Islam in the same clashes, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented today morning the 3rd of March 2018, the death of 6 citizens including a child girl in bombardment targeted areas in Muhammedia town and in Beit Sawa town, raising to 642 citizens including 152 children and 93 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, among them there are 110 casualties including 25 children and 17 women were killed after the resolution of the UN Security Council.
