The factions of the Eastern Ghouta resist fiercely to prevent the regime forces and the Russians from reaching the Vehicle Department and the renewed shelling leaves more human losses

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the aerial and rocket shelling renewed today morning on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out intensive raids on areas in Arbin city, in conjunction with intensive and violent rocket shelling by the regime forces on areas in Arbin, which resulted in the injury of 8 persons at least, and confirmed information about the death of 3 persons, and the helicopters dropped 3 explosive barrels today morning, on areas in Jisrayn town. In the same context, the violent clashes have been continuing since after the midnight of Saturday – Sunday, in areas in the outskirts of Jisrayn town and the orchards between Douma and Harasta and the outskirts of Mesraba and Madyara, between the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam and Al-Rahman Corps against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian nationalities led by Suhail Al-Hassan and under the command of Russian officers and advisers, where the clashes are accompanied by preliminary intensive rocket shelling by the regime forces, amid violent resistance and desperate efforts by the factions to prevent the regime forces from taking the control of Madyara and reaching the Vehicle Department, and the clashes are accompanied by intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas and the factions’ positions, which resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that with the death of more civilians it rose to 1099 Syrian civilians in the Eastern Ghouta, including 227 children and 154 women, who have been killed in 21 days by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 4378 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 567 casualties including 86 children and 71 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, amid the tragic humanitarian situation of the people of Ghouta, who intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they do not leave the shelters for fear of the intensive shelling, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases.
