Exchange of targeting between the regime forces and the factions in Daraa city and areas in its countryside and shelling targets the north of Hama

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes bombed today morning, areas in Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama, while helicopters dropped explosive barrels yesterday before the midnight, on places in Al-Lataminah town and the vicinity of Murak in the north of Hama, accompanied by rocket shelling which targeted places in the area, without information about casualties.

 

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the factions targeted by several shells, places in Kharbat Ghazala area controlled by the regime forces in Daraa countryside, while an IED exploded in front of a mosque in Nemr town in Daraa countryside, which resulted in the fall of wounded, while the faction fired several shells after the midnight of Sunday – Monday, on places in al-Mahatta neighborhood, controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city, while the regime forces shelled the factions’ controlled areas in Daraa Al-Balad in Daraa city, documenting new violations to the Syrian South Truce, within the American – Russian – Jordanian agreement, applied since the 9th of July 2017.

 

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 9th of July 2017, that the regional-international agreement went into effect in three provinces of southern Syria, namely Daraa, Al-Quneitra and Al-Suwaidaa, at 12 pm today, the 9th of July 2017. The SOHR has observed so far that calm is prevailing the provinces of southern Syria and no violations of the truce have been reported so far although the few moments that preceded its implementation witnessed the firing of several shells by the regime forces on faction-controlled areas in Daraa but no casualties have been reported so far.

 

This American-Russian-Jordanian agreement that includes three provinces of southern Syria came after violent battles during the last few weeks between the factions active there and the regime forces and their allied militiamen. where in al-Suwaidaa province there are Jaysh al-Asha’er, Ahmad al-Abdu Forces and Jaysh Usud al-Sharqiyyah, while the southern factions which supported by regional and international parties in Daraa Province, while in Al-Quneitra Province there are Jabhat Thowwar Syria, al-Ezz Brigades and Al-Furqan Brigades, while in Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa is controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid who swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization.
