More than 200 thousand citizens were forced by the Turks to displace from Afrin and the regime trades in them and continues to prevent them to reach Aleppo city in conjunction with a new massacre raised the number of civilian casualties to 280

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: displacement operations are still continuing from Afrin area, amid magnificent tragedy, increased by the Turkish shelling which resulted in a new massacre in the city, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes targeted Afrin city, where the bombardment targeted citizens while they were trying to displace from the city, towards the towns of Nubl and Al-Zahraa in the northern countryside of Aleppo, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the bombardment resulted in a massacre leaving 11 citizens until now, as a result of targeting a car and a tractor, in addition to the injury of others with varying severity, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, while the displacement of citizens from Afrin city is continuing, where it has increased to more than 200 thousand, the number of citizens displaced from the city towards the areas of Nubl and Al-Zahraa and other areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo where the regime forces deployed, amid catastrophic situation of most of citizens, with no aid provided to them by humanitarian or relief organizations, as they stay in the open with the continuation of the regime forces to prevent them to reach Aleppo city, amid tributes imposed by checkpoints reach 1000 $ for a single person.

While the clashes are continuing between the YPG and the Self-Defense Forces against the rebel and Islamic factions and the Turkish forces, in areas in the northern entrance of Afrin city and other areas near the Central Prison in the west of Afrin city, amid intensive and exchange of targeting, within attempts by the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation to achieve advancement in the area, and reach Afrin city to storm it, and information about human losses, while the Turkish forces managed to advance in Afrin countryside and take the control of more villages, where only 60 villages are still under the control of the Kurdish forces in Afrin countryside.

And with the death of more citizens, it has increased to 281 including 43 children and 28 citizens, the number of civilians of the al-Kurds, Arabs and Armenians, who were killed in the Turkish aerial, artillery and missile shelling, and in executions against several citizens in Afrin area since the 20th of January 2018, also the shelling injured hundreds of citizens with varying severity, also fears are still prevailing for the lives of hundreds of thousands civilians exist in the city of Afrin and nearby villages, amid calls by these civilians through the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to the international community to move to act against the Turkish massacres that began on Wednesday the 14th of March 2018, through heavy aerial and ground shelling on the city of Afrin which witnesses  the interruption of water, electricity and communications, by the Turkish forces for the 10th consecutive day, following their control over Midanki Dam on Midanki Lake in the northern countryside of Afrin city, and the interruption of water, electricity and communications is coincided with extreme shortage of flour and fuel in Afrin area, where the lines of citizens are ongoing before the only bakery remained in the city of Afrin, to receive bread which the city lacks, and reliable sources confirmed to the SOHR that some of the citizens that returned to their villages controlled by the Turkish forces, monitored that their property was robbed, including tractors, machineries and house contents.
