More civilian martyrs raises to more than 900 people who were killed since the issuance of the Security Council Resolution among 1435 civilians who were killed in more than a month of escalation of shelling

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the aerial shelling is renewed on areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the warplanes carried out 6 raids on places in Douma city, which is controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam, injuring more than 40 others with different severity. The warplanes carried out airstrikes on areas in Harasta city, causing material damage, and no information about injuries. The SOHR learned that 5 citizens were killed and more than 20 were injured due to the shelling of warplanes on areas in Ein Tarma town, while 2 citizens were killed and more than 37 citizens were injured with different severity, as result of at least 20 airstrikes targeted areas in Harasta city, rising the martyrs rising to 19 martyrs including 2 children and 2 citizens, and among the citizens 3 people from one family, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured people in serious conditions.

Meanwhile, the violent clashes are ongoing in the southwestern pocket between the fighters of Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham and Al-Rahman Corps against the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in areas in Kafrbatna town, following violent attack by the factions on the area, amid an exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, while the clashes are still ongoing in areas between Jaysh Al-Islam against the regime forces and their allied militiamen  as result of an attack by the factions in areas in the vicinity of Douma area from Misraba side, and the clashes are coincided with ongoing targeting between both parties.

It has increased to 1435, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 282 children and 181 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5330 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 903 casualties including 141 children and 98 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
