After negotiations with the regime forces… Al-Rahman Corps returns with an agreement to exit from the Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information from a number of reliable sources, that the negotiations between Al-Rahman Corps and the regime forces through mediators, reached their end, and the both parties agreed on the withdrawal of Al-Rahman Corps and the exit of its fighters and their families and citizens who refused the agreement, from the south-western enclave of the factions’ controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the sources confirmed that the agreement provided that Al-Rahman Corps will leave to the Syrian North without information until now about the area it will head to, whether to the controlled areas of the Turkish forces and the Syrian opposition factions, or to Idlib province, and it is expected that the first batch will be brought out during the next 48 hours, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that an explosion rocked Harasta city caused by detonating an arsenal by Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement, which resulted in the injury of more than 12 persons including members of the Red Crescent, and information about the death of a child girl as a result of this detonation.

This agreement comes after the displacement of tens of thousands of citizens from the controlled areas of Al-Rahman Corps in the south-west of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that more than 120 thousand people displaced and became in the regime’s controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta since 8 days and until now, while the SOHR documented the death of 1634, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 327 children and 200 women, who have been killed since the 18th of February 2018, by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 5420 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 1102 casualties including 186 children and 117 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
