After stopping it for hours on claims of non-coordination, the first Douma displaced convoy enters the areas controlled by “Shield of the Euphrates” in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo

several reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that Douma convoy, which includes more than 21 buses carrying around 1150 fighters and civilians, including more than 700 children and women, who refused the agreement with Jaish Al-Islam and the Russian forces and left Douma, managed to enter to areas controlled by the “Shield of the Euphrates” operation forces in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, fours after they were prevented by the Turkish forces to enter the area. The entry comes following negotiations took place on the crossing linking the regime’s controlled area and the areas controlled by “Shield of Euphrates”, which also coincided with demands of the displaced to allow the entry of the convoy that left Douma yesterday evening.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the arrival of the first convoy which departed from Douma yesterday, Monday the 2nd of March 2018, in its destination, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the first convoy has arrived at the outskirts of the controlled areas of the forces of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation, in the north-eastern sector of Aleppo countryside, after a trip lasted for about 15 consecutive hours, but it has not entered these areas until now, where sources within the convoy confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the convoy is still suspended until now, and the reasons of suspending the convoy and preventing it to enter the area are not known until now, despite the prior agreement to let it enter the area, where the batch includes more than 21 buses carrying about 1150 persons of fighters and their families and other citizens, and includes more than 700 children and citizen women, who came out rejecting the agreement between Jaysh Al-Islam and the Russian forces, and it is expected that the convoy will arrive soon in its destination, while the second convoy is being prepared slowly in Douma city, as a result of the presence of conflicts inside Jaysh Al-Islam about the exit of citizens from the area, where about 20 buses entered Douma city few hours ago, and only a quarter of them came out to the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta, until the convoy has been completed in order to depart towards the same destination, which was agreed in he text of Jaysh Al-Islam agreement with the Russian forces.
