Away from the media and for fear of being targeted by the families of abductees held in the jails of Jaysh Al-Islam…the second convoy of the displaced people of Douma departs under the cover of darkness to the Syrian North

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the second convoy of the displaced people of Douma of fighters and citizens which departed after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday, from the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, carrying about 4000 persons of fighters and their families and citizens who reject the agreement, is continuing its way towards its destination in the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” forces, in the north-eastern sector of Aleppo countryside, and it is expected that it will arrive in its destination in the next few hours, while a new convoy will be launched today to the same destination, as a part of the continuation of implementing the agreement between Jaysh Al-Islam on one hand, and the Russians and the regime on the other, which based on releasing the abductees and captives arrested by Jaysh Al-Islam whose number reached thousands, and the departure of all those who reject the agreement to the Syrian North, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the transfer of the displaced people took place under the cover of darkness and away from the regime’s media and that loyal to the regime, for fear of an escalation towards the displaced people and of being targeted by the families of the missing abductees, whose destiny has been ignored by the regime during the release of the abductees and captives arrested by Jaysh Al-Islam.

 

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored the arrival of the convoy which carries thousands of the displaced people from Douma city, in the controlled areas of the forces of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation,, where the buses entered heading towards the place specified for their stay at the present time, and sources of who were on the buses confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that the “Euphrates Shield” forces have confiscated the individual weapons that the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam have, emphases that it is according to orders of the Turkish forces and intelligence, issued to them to take all individual weapons that the members and commanders of Jaysh Al-Islam have when they enter the area, amid resentment as a reaction against this step by the Turkish forces and their allied factions, which the people displaced from Douma to the Syrian North, the SOHR also monitored the continued preparations of the new convoy in Douma city, where the fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam, their families and citizens who reject the agreement, are getting on the buses, where a large convoy including tens of buses will be launched.

 

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored resentment among the civilians and families of the abductees captured by Jaysh Al-Islam, who were abducted in late 2013 during an attack by Jaysh Al-Islam and other factions including ISIS on Adra Al-Ommaliyyah area located east of the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and managed to capture about 9 thousand persons. Jaysh Al-Islam took about 3500 abductees of them. The abductees were taken to prisons of Jaysh Al-Islam in Douma, which is the main stronghold of Jaysh Al-Islam in Syrian. In the details obtained by the SOHR, the families were angry at the regime authorities after the media of the regime and its allies announced the full evacuation of abductees, whose numbers haven’t exceeded 200 persons, from the prisons of Jaysh Al-Islam and that the issue of the abductees and captures in Douma has completely ended after the “full evacuation of abductees”, which prompted the families to demand for clarification about the fate of more than 3000 persons didn’t get out and their fate is still unknown.

 

The sources confirmed to the Observatory that the people accused the regime authorities of abandoning their sons in return for the speeding up of the displacement of fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam and their families and civilians refusing the agreement between Jaysh al-Islam on one hand and the Russians and representatives of the regime forces on the other on the 8th of April 2018. Abductees told the SOHR sources that thousands of abductees were transferred to prisons of Jaysh Al-Islam and distributed to different prisons by Jaysh Al-Islam, noting that tens of the abductees were released in previous deals, while some others remained captured in the prisons of Jaysh Al-Islam until the mid of 2017. The families are angry because the regime ended the issue of the release in return for speeding up the evacuation of Jaysh al-Islam and their families and civilians refusing the agreement from Douma. The families said that the regime had earlier abandoned captured members of the regime in return for releasing the abductees of Hezbollah and Iranians and Afghani members of the regime’s allied militiamen captured by the factions.

 

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received three days ago, a copy of a circular issued by Jaysh al-Islam in written form, which was distributed through leaflets to the people in Douma, where Jaysh al-Islam talked about its decision to leave Douma completely after the “consulting the scholars and advisers”, and in response to popular pressure and the pressure of revolutionary institutions, as a result of a barbaric and intolerable bombardment, and that it is ready to serve those who wish to come out with it, wishing that those within the age of compulsory service to come out, because the regime required give them a six-month grace period and then calling them to serve the conscription service, and those who want to get out should start preparing for it, and for those who want to stay; the Chechen police will deploy in the vicinity of Douma, and the regime and its security branches are prevented from entering the city, and a committee will be formed to resolve the outstanding matters, while the people are given 6 months either to settle their situation or to leave the Eastern Ghouta, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the agreement also provides for the return of school and university students to their educational institutions after settling the situation of the wanted ones, and reissuing identity papers for all those who lost their personal IDs during the past years, this will be carried out by coordinating with committees that will be formed for this purpose with the rehabilitation of the city and its infrastructure, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored yesterday, a demonstration included hundreds of residents of Douma city. The demonstrators called for the exit of Abu Abd Al-Rahman Al-Kaka from Douma. The demonstrators, who mob out in front of Abu Kaka house, who is the “General Sharia Official”, shouted “Douma is free, free and Al-Kaka is out”, and the locals stressed their calls to find solution to stop the bloodshed of civilians.
