Factions of southeast Hama start a violent attack and advance, warplanes and the regime forces intensify their targeting in the area

Hama Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: explosions were heard in the western countryside of Salamiyah city in the Eastern countryside of Hama, caused by targeting by the factions suing shells for areas in Tal al-Durra village, which is controlled by the regime forces and caused material damage, but no information about casualties, and this fall of shells was accompanied by violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the southeastern countryside of Hama, after a violent attack by the latter on areas of Qebbat al-Kurdi and Tal al-Ken, and the violent clashes were accompanied by raids by warplanes targeted Qebbat al-Kurdi area and areas of presence of the factions, amid intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces on the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the factions managed to advance in Qebbat al-Kurdi and control checkpoints and sites were under the control of the regime, while the regime forces are trying to absorb the attack and start a counterattack in order to restore control of what they lost, while the factions targeted checkpoints of al-Mahatta and al-Madajen of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them near Hirbnafsah town, in the southern countryside of Hama, also the regime forces targeted areas in the villages of Dallak, Brigith, Talaf and al-Zara town in the same countryside, while warplanes raided al-Sathiyyat area and other places in Brigith area, while areas in Hwaiz village in Sahl al-Ghab were shelled by the regime forces, and the factions were able to seize weapons, equipment and ammunition from the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them during the attack, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that shelling on the northern countryside of Homs has not calm down, despite the cessation of the clashes which broke out at the dawn of Sunday the 15th of April 2018, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the northern sector of Homs countryside and the southern sector of Hama countryside, as a result of an attack by the regime forces to secure Homs – Salamiyah Highway, during which the regime forces managed to advance followed by a counter attack carried out by the factions on the area which forced members of the regime to withdraw, and these clashes resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 4 fighters at least of the factions killed in these clashes, while members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them where killed in the exchange of shelling and the same clashes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored since this morning that the warplanes carried out intensive raids, where they targeted the villages and towns of Al-Qantara, Al-Tlul Al-Homr, Al-Quneitrat, Izz Al-Din, Al-Hamrat, Deir Ful and Al-Kann farms by about 30 raids, in conjunction with artillery shelling which targeted places in the areas mentioned above, and areas in Talbiseh city and its countryside, raising to about 65, the number of raids targeted both countryside of north of Homs and south of Hama, in the past 24 hours, where the raids resulted in the death of 3 citizens including a child girl and a woman, as well as the fall of wounded, also the factions targeted by several shells, areas in Al-Ashrafiyah village controlled by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Homs, which resulted in the fall of wounded while one person at least was killed in this targeting.

And this bombardment on the area comes after calm intervened by artillery and rocket shelling which targeted areas in both southern and northern countryside of Hama and Homs, while the SOHR published about two weeks ago, that the regime forces managed to take the control of Taqsis village and its mountain in the south-eastern countryside of Hama, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory; a column of the regime forces accompanied by a delegation that sources said that it included representatives of the Russian side, entered Taqsis, Al-Amarah, Jumaqliyah and other villages, where the regime forces held their presence in Taqsis and Al-Amarah which were empty free from any military presence, in conjunction with their entry to 2 other nearby villages in the area.
