After Reaching the Syrian North, the 2nd Batch of Central Syria’s Displaced People Wait as the 1st Batch to Be Allowed to Pass by The Turkish Forces

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the arrival of the 2nd batch of displaced people from the northern countryside of Homs and southern countryside of Hama, to Abu al-Zendin crossing near al-Bab area northeast of Aleppo, where the 2nd convoy includes about 72 vehicles which carry more than 2800 fighters, their families and other civilians who refused the agreement Between representatives of north Homs and south Hama, and, the Russians and the regime, and the convoy is waiting to be allowed by the Turkish forces to cross towards areas controlled by factions of the “Euphrates Shield”, while it is expected for a new displacement process of a new batch to take place from the area to the Syrian north today, Wednesday.
And in the same context, displaced people on board of the first convoy that entered “Euphrates Shield’s” controlled areas northeast of Aleppo; told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that no places had not been secured for them in the area until the moment.

It worth mentioning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored yesterday the entry of the buses of the first displaced people convoy to the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation Forces in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, after await since Tuesday dawn, and after protests by the residents against the refusal of the Turkish authorities to let the convoy enter the north east of Aleppo, where tens of people in al-Bab city protested asking the Turkish authorities to allow the 1st displaced people convoy of Homs countryside to enter the controlled areas of the “Euphrates Shield” Operation Forces.

And the 1st convoy includes about 3400 persons aboard about 67 buses waited at Abu al-Zendin crossing at the outskirts of areas controlled by “Euphrates Shield” Operation Forces in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, due to the refusal of the Turkish authorities to enter the convoy, amid protests in al-Bab city by tens of civilians, asking to allow the displaced people of north Homs to enter areas of control of the factions and the Turkish forces in the Syrian north, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the arrival of the first convoy of displaced people of the northern countryside of Homs and the southern countryside of Hama to Abu al-Zendin crossing, which connects between regime forces’-controlled areas and areas of presence of the Turkey-supported “Euphrates Shield” Operation Forces near al-Bab area northeast of Aleppo, where the buses await the approval of the Turkish Forces to enter the area. The first convoy consists of about 67 buses carrying hundreds of fighters, their families and other civilians who refused the agreement between representatives of north Homs and south Hama, and, the Russians and the regime.

And the Syrian Observatory published after the afternoon of Wednesday, the 2nd of May 2018, that it monitored the end of the meeting in the northern countryside of Homs, about the fate of the area and the fate of the southern countryside of Hama, and the SOHR learned from a number of intersected sources, that the meeting which lasted for more than 6 hours ended with a consensus between the both parties (representatives of the regime and Russians on one hand, and representatives of the northern countryside of Homs and the southern countryside of Hama on the other), on completing the preparations of the lists of the displaced people from the cities, towns and villages of the both areas, and handing over the heavy and medium weapons in 72 hours, to start the displacement processor towards the Syrian North -Jarabulus and Idlib-, so that those who refuse the agreement will leave and the situations of the fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions operating in the area and the dissidents who want to stay, will be settled, also the regime’s institutions will return to work, the return of students to schools and universities will be organized and the facilities will be reactivated as well as working on improving them, in addition to the entry of the Russian Military Police to the area, and the sources confirmed to the SOHR that these conditions which includes both northern and southern countryside of Homs, were preceded by conditions including the handing over of heavy weapons by the factions and the entry of Russian military police with the reactivation of the government departments, and the meetings were coincided with ongoing ceasefire since the afternoon of Sunday in the northern countryside of Homs and the adjacent southern countryside of Hama, after the meeting that took place between representatives of both areas and between representative of the Russians and the regime, within the framework of search for a solution concerning the situation of both countryside, which witnessed yesterday, Monday, the 30th of April 2018, following a series of airstrikes and raids by warplanes and helicopters, mostly concentrated on the northern countryside of Homs, also the bombardment targeted areas in the southeastern countryside of Hama, which came after bringing large military reinforcements to both northern countryside of Homs and southern countryside of Hama, where the SOHR monitored that the regime forces have sent large military reinforcements of members, material, weapons and armored vehicles to the area, preparing for carrying out a military operation in the area aims to end the presence of the factions in the area and regain the control of the area by the regime forces.
