The Regime Forces Continue Their Military Operations South of The Capital Damascus and Control New Points

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continues at a violent pace in the areas of al-Hajar al-Aswad and Yarmouk Camp south of the capital Damascus, between the “Islamic State” organization on the against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian non-Syrian nationalities, accompanied by the continued aerial and missile shelling, where the warplanes continue to carry out airstrikes on Yarmouk Camp, al-Hajar al-Aswad and outskirts of al-Tadamon neighborhood, accompanied by the continuation shelling by rocket shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, also the regime forces continue their offensive on the area, where they were able to advance and control several new buildings in al-Hajar al-Aswad.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday morning, Wednesday, that the Syrian south is witnessing hit-and-run operations, and advancement and retreat within military positions and strategic points, between the regime forces and allies, and, members of the “Islamic State” organization, and this violent clashes is concentrated at the outskirts of Yarmouk Camp and in al-Hajar al-Aswad in the southern part of the capital Damascus, where south of the capital Damascus has turned into more like a square to drain the regime forces by the “Islamic State” organization, where ISIS cost the regime forces a lot of human losses and materials, during its repel for the advancement process launched by the regime forces on the 19th of April 2018, while the Syrian Observatory has documented during four consecutive days –since Saturday– significant casualties in the ranks of the regime forces, allies, and ISIS members in the southern sector of the capital, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of are least 56 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and 3 of them were captured and executed, and 41 members at least of the “Islamic State” organization, raising to 176 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, including 22 officers and 9 of them were executed, while it has increased to 143, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation.
