Within the Framework of Power Sharing Process and After Taking Posts West of Aleppo, Turkish Reconnaissance Force Search for New Sites to Create “Observation Posts” In Jabal Al-Akrad And Countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that a Turkish reconnaissance force has roamed on Friday morning, the 11th of May 2018, in an area west of Jisr Al-Shughur and Jabal al-Akrad area in the northern countryside of Latakia, and they roamed in the area searching for a suitable site to create new Turkish military observation posts, where the Turkish Forces seek to establish these new posts within the framework of their distribution of observation posts from its military forces, and this roaming comes about 48 hours after the establishing points in the western suburbs of Aleppo city.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 9th of May 2018 that the a Turkish Force crossed the Syrian – Turkish border this morning, and arrived to al-Rashedin area, which is located in the western suburbs of Aleppo city, to establish a military observation post for the Turkish forces, as a completion for the distribution of their military points in the Syrian interior; and drawing points of contact between the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and between the Syrian opposition factions and the other opposition formations, also the intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the operations of preparing the site of the Turkish military Force has begun since the morning in al-Rashedin area, after preparing observation points in different Syrian areas.

The Syrian Observatory published 2 days ago that a Turkish reconnaissance delegation visited Al-Rashideen area in the west of Aleppo city, where the delegation roamed in the area, in order to establish a reconnaissance point in it, where Turkish forces will be stationed with heavy vehicle and equipment, after the earlier reconnaissance point which have been established in several Syrian areas, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 7th of April 2018, that it monitored that the Turkish forces started to prepare a new observation point, after the new Turkish column, which entered the Syrian territory in the morning of that day, had stationed in the northern countryside of Hama, coming from Turkey, where the column includes tens of vehicles carrying armored vehicle, tanks, troop carrier, equipment and soldiers, where the Turkish forces tended to establish a new observation point in Murak area, which witnessed aerial, artillery and rocket shelling by the regime and its warplanes and helicopters and by the Russian warplanes throughout the past months and years, which resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of people and destruction to the property of the citizens, and the establishment of this point comes in the wake of the roaming of a column about which intersected sources said that it carries a Turkish reconnaissance force that roamed on the 2nd of April 2018, under the protection of the Sham Corps, which established barriers and stressed the security procedures since after the midnight of Sunday – Monday, where it roamed in AL-Khazzanat area near Khan Shaykhun and in the areas of Tal’aas and Hbit in the southern countryside of Hama, and then Al-Lataminah, Kafr Zita, Al-Sayyad and Murak, in the northern countryside of Hama, and Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-west of Hama.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 13th of March 2018, a delegation of the Turkish forces roams for the first time in Sahl Al-Ghab area, which is located in the northwestern countryside of Hama and at the southwestern outskirts of the countryside of Idlib, where intersected reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the delegation that arrived in the area on board of three buses have roamed the villages of Al-Ziyara and al-Qarqour, which are located on the contact lines between the factions and the regime, and the reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Turkish delegation’s roam took place under the protection of fighters of the Islamic Turkestani party which spread in the area, in order to establish a new observation posts in the area, where the area witnessed a security alert on the checkpoints amid scrutiny and inspection of the pedestrians, shortly before the arrival of the Turkish reconnaissance delegation on Tuesday afternoon, the 13th of March 2018.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 15th of February 2018 that tens of military vehicles and equipment were entered this morning through the border area of Kafr Luseen and headed to the countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, where they stationed in Sarman area in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 11th of February 2018 that a column of Turkish vehicles entered through the border area of Kafr Luseen to the areas of Salwah near Atma and Qah camps, and to the area of Darat Azza in the western countryside of Aleppo, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights 2 days before that date that Turkish column of tens of machines, heavy gear carriers and armored vehicles entered the eastern countryside of Idlib on Tuesday, where the column went to the areas of Saraqib and Tal Tokan and then it to the southern countryside of Aleppo, where the Turkish forces are taking position on the contact lines with the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored targeting by warplanes for Damascus – Aleppo international highway which passes through Saraqib, after the passage of the Turkish column, where the warplanes opened heavy machineguns’ fire on the highway, but no information about causing human casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the first half of February 2018 that Turkish forces wandered in several areas from the eastern countryside of Idlib to Maarrat Al-Nu’man area in the southern countryside of Idlib, coming from their points near the administrative border between Idlib and the south of Aleppo, and the sources confirmed that these forces carried out reconnaissance tours during the past 24 hours in several areas in Idlib countryside, then they returned to their bases, and these tours come after the contact areas between militiamen loyal to the regime of non-Syrian nationalities and the controlled areas of the factions where Turkish forces stationed last Monday, witnessed exchange of Targeting and shooting between the regime’s allies against the Turkish forces, and information about the fall of injuries in the shelling, and this targeting comes hours after the entry of a Turkish column to the Syrian territory and it arrived in Al-Eis area in the southern countryside of Aleppo, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a column of the Turkish forces, which entered the Syrian territory today morning, Monday, through the border area of Kafr Lusin with Iskenderun area, and the column headed through the western countryside of Aleppo towards Al-Eis area in the southern countryside of Aleppo, adjacent the controlled areas of the regime forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Iranian Guards in Al-Hadher area, in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and the column included tens of vehicles and carriers carrying tens of armored vehicles, heavy vehicles and engineering machinery as well as tens of soldiers of the Turkish forces, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the first half of October 2017 that the Turkish scouting forces are continuing to enter the Syrian territory for the fourth consecutive day, where vehicles carrying Turkish scouting forces and commanders accompanied by the protection of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were seen, while they were entering the Syrian territory through Atma border crossing, as a part of their scouting rounds which they carried out during the past three days, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that Turkish reconnaissance forces, which were supposed to go around the western countryside of Aleppo and the contact lines with the YPG in Afrin, were prevented from completing their tour by a rebel Islamic movement operating on the contact lines with the Kurdish forces in Afrin, and source pointed out to the SOHR that the Turkish forces accompanying the Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were prevented from reaching areas of presence of the movement members because of the tension between the movement and Tahrir Al-Sham, where the Movement accused Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham of claiming to have most of the contact points between the factions and the Kurdish forces. Also, SOHR received information that members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the Turkish delegation were prevented from entering the area, so both of the Turkish delegation and the Hayyaat objected the decision of the Movement on preventing them entering and both of them returned to the borders.
