The death and injury of about 15 citizens by shooting by the regime forces at the outskirts of Yarmouk Camp raise to 50, the number of civilian casualties in 24 days of operations in the south of Damascus

Damascus Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that 3 elderly citizens at least were killed and about 11 others were injured with varying severity, as a result of being targeted by the regime forces by machineguns, while they were gathering at Al-Oroba checkpoint, to cross to Yalda area where the displacement of those who refuse the agreement of the regime and the Russians with representatives and factions in the 3 cities (Yalda, Beit Saham and Babilla), was finished, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, raising to 50 at least including 13 children and 6 women, the number of casualties who were killed in the shelling by the regime forces by artillery and rocket shells missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and the bombardment by warplanes and helicopters by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of tens of injuries and missing people, where a number of injuries have seriously wounded and others are in critical situations, while the fate of many of the missing people is still unknown, weather they have died or are still alive, where the citizens and rescuers try when the pace of shelling decreases, to extract stuck people or bodies from the rubble of destruction caused by the shelling on Yarmouk Camp and the rest controlled areas of the organization.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today evening, Saturday the 12th of May 2018, shelling by helicopters by explosive barrels, and bombardment by warplanes, in conjunction with renewed shelling by the regime forces by artillery and rocket shells on ISIS controlled areas in Yarmouk Camp, Al-Hajar al-Aswad and Al-Tadamon in the southern part of the capital Damascus, amid violent clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity and outskirts Yarmouk Camp, Al-Hajar al-Aswad and Al-Tadamon, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, and information about the fall of more human losses.

And the Syrian Observatory published few hours ago, that it documented during these attrition battle the killing of 86 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and 3 of them were captured and executed, and 57 members at least of the “Islamic State” organization, raising to 203 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, including 25 officers and 9 of them were executed, while it has increased to 159, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation.
