With an air cover from the International Coalition, SDF resume their military operations east of Deir Ezzor and advance more towards the last stronghold in which prominent ISIS leaders holed up

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored clashes of varying violence taking place in areas in the vicinity of Hajin town in the eastern sector of Deir Ezzor, between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, this comes after the clashes stopped between both parties on Monday, the 22nd of May 2018, where the clash are accompanied by an aerial bombardment carried out by International Coalition warplanes on the clash areas, and on other areas in Hajin every now and then, in addition to the renewed rocket shelling on the area, the Syrian Observatory learned that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advancement more with the air and missile cover, and got closer to Hajin town in which there are more than 65 of the first rank leaders of the “Islamic State” organization, the majority of whom are Iraqi nationals in addition to foreign nationalities.

The Syrian Observatory published last night, Wednesday, that explosions rocked areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, caused by rocket shelling in the east of the Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the International Coalition carrying out 2 rounds of rocket shelling, which targeted ISIS controlled areas in its last enclave at the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, where the International Coalition fired 12 missiles at least believed to be ground-to-ground, from Al-Omar Oilfield in the first round of shelling, while in the second round, they fired 8 missiles at east of the same kind, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, the 22nd of May 2018, that it monitored the stop of clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, and between the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the enclave that still under the control of the Organization in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where this stop of military operations in the area comes after the Syria Democratic Forces were able to tighten the grip more and more on members of the “Islamic State” organization in the towns of Shafa, Hajin and al-Susah, while it is expected for the military operations to continue in order to control the 3 towns and expel the organization out of them, except in the event of the surrender of the organization’s members after clamping down on them.
