Warplanes believed to belong to the International Coalition target militias loyal to the regime forces in Deir Ezzor Desert

Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that aerial bombardment by warplanes believed to belong to the International Coalition targeted movements of militia loyal to the regime forces of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities near the Second Station “T2”, located more than 65 Km away from al-Bokamal city in Deir Ezzor Desert after midnight of yesterday, but no information about casualties, where the perimeter of the area witnessed violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday morning, Wednesday, that several explosions were heard after midnight of yesterday in the western suburbs of Deir Ezzor city, which is controlled by the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, but it is not known until now whether the explosions were caused by the International Coalition’s bombing targeting sites of the regime forces and their allies in Ayyash and al-Bogeleyyah areas, but no information at the moment about casualties due to these explosions, and the Syrian Observatory published before midnight that explosions were heard in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor city, sources from the area said that they were caused by artillery shelling on the area, where locals asserted that the shelling took place between the regime forces which are stationed in Ayyash area west of the Euphrates River, and the Syria Democratic Forces which are stationed in Muhaymida east of Euphrates River, without information about injuries.

In the same context, the clashes continued between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the deserts of al-Mayadin and al-Boleel on the west banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, accompanied by renewed exchange of shelling between both parties, and information about casualties in their ranks, where the organization on Tuesday evening, carried out two simultaneous attacks on sites of the regime forces and their allies from al-Mayadin and al-Boleel areas, and the Syrians Observatory published on the 21st of May 2016 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the “Islamic State” organization carrying out 2 surprise attacks, both of which targeted positions of the regime forces in the west of Euphrates River, where the first attack targeted the regime forces and its allies of Syrian and non-Syrian Nationalities in al-Mayadin Desert, and the second attack targeted the regime forces and their allies in al-Quriyah Desert, and after both attacks the violent clashes took place between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in places in al-Mayadin and al-Quriyah since midnight of yesterday, accompanied by firing flares over the locations of the clashes, amid artillery shelling by the regime forces on the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas, and in the attack 6 members at least of organization were killed, and at least 4 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were also killed, followed by the withdrawal of the organization from clash locations.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to 924, the number of casualties of both parties who were documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in the provinces of Damascus, Deir Ezzor, and Homs, where it rose to 557 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them who were killed during 2 months of clashes in al-Bokamal Desert, the countryside of Deir Ezzor and south of the capital Damascus and the outskirts of east Homs, and about two thirds of them were killed in the capital Damascus, also it rose to 367 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the same battles, since the recovery of the Organization in the 13th of March 2018, also tens of others of both parties were killed and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to the presence of missing members and captives in the ranks of the both parties.
