After the killing of at least 26 of its members by the evacuated ISIS members of south Damascus, the regime forces send military reinforcements to Palmyra and the Desert

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces sending military reinforcements of tens of vehicles and hundreds of soldiers to the Syrian Desert and the eastern countryside of Homs, and these forces were accompanied by vehicles and heavy machinery and headed towards Palmyra area and regime forces’ sites in the Syrian Desert, in an attempt by the regime forces to strengthen their military positions and fortify themselves against any attack by the “Islamic State” organization, which is witnessing a recovery since mid-March 2018, following the recent attack that targeted the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in the eastern desert of Homs, the attacks that preceded it in locations near the location of the last attack, which was carried out by members of the “Islamic State” organization; of who were evacuated from Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon neighborhood in the southern part of the capital Damascus.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of May 2018 that it rose to 26 members at least including 17 Syrian members, the number of casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and their Syrian and Iranian allies, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, as a result of detonating the booby-trapped vehicle and the attack which followed it.

This attack came hours after the arrival of hundreds of members of the “Islamic State” organization aboard buses to the Syrian Desert, of who were evacuated from Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon neighborhood in the southern part of the capital Damascus, after a secret agreement between the “Islamic State” organization and the regime under the Russian supervision, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that  the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored simultaneous arrival of the two batch of buses, which completed the process of evacuating the “Islamic State” organization from the south of the capital Damascus, thus, the regime forces regained the control of it more than 6 years after the regime lost its control over the capital Damascus, where a convoy arrived in Idlib province, carrying about 600 children and citizen women of the families of the organization’s members including citizens who refuse the agreement of the regime with the organization, of who exit from Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon neighborhood, in conjunction with the arrival of the convoy which carries the fighters of the organization, its members and commanders in the Syrian Desert, after a long travel for hours, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the process was carried out through dividing the convoy into 2 groups after its departure from the capital, where the group that included the children and women headed to Idlib, while the convoy which carries the fighters resumed its way towards the Syrian Desert, according to unannounced Russian – Turkish agreement, allows to receive the families of the organization’s members, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; finishing the sweep operations just before this afternoon at Yarmouk Camp -the capital of the Palestinian dispersion- and al-Tadamon neighbourhood, imposing their full control over the south of Damascus after the withdrawal of members of the “Islamic State” organization and their families, according to a secret agreement that took place between the regime and organization, where about 1600 members of the “Islamic State” organization have gotten out of Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon towards the Syrian Desert under a full Russian supervision, and with this control, the regime forces and their allies have recovered Damascus province and its countryside (Rif Dimashq) completely, except for al-Tanf area which is under the control of the International Coalition Forces at the Syrian – Iraqi border.
