Violent clashes between the factions and Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid near the border with the occupied Golan

Daraa province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: areas in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa are witnessing clashes at a violent pace between Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid –which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization– against the rebel and Islamic factions since the morning of Thursday, the 31st of May 2018, in renewed attacks by the factions against positions of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid, where the clashes are concentrated in the areas of Adwan and the M.D, accompanied by exchange of shelling and targeting between both parties, and information about casualties among both them, in the same context, at least 5 members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid –which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization– were killed in clashes against the rebel and Islamic factions yesterday night, Wednesday, after an attack by the factions on their positions in the vicinity of Hayt area in the western countryside of Daraa, also ammunition and weapons were seized during the same attack.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 28th of May 2018 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of a leader of a rebel faction, as a result of being targeted by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, in the vicinity of Al-Sheikh Saad from the side of Tell Ashtara in the western sector of Daraa, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that 4 members of the “Islamic State” organization, were killed after being targeted by the rebel and Islamic factions, on the contact lines between their controlled areas and the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the organization, and intersected sources confirmed to the SOHR that the 4 members are of the organization’s fighters in the south of Damascus, of who managed to reach Al-Suwaidaa Desert and then to Daraa countryside, where cells of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed that are located in the factions’ controlled area secure their passage towards Yarmouk Basin, but they were targeted after they were spotted trying to pass towards the areas controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed in the western countryside of Daraa, while a violent explosion rocked Busra al-Sham area, it was caused by an explosion in the headquarters of Islamic forces in Busra al-Sham town, without information about the cause of the explosion or about the fall of casualties.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 25th of May 2018, that it monitored that the factions managed to capture about 20 people during the last night, the factions said that they were members from the “Islamic State” organization south of the capital Damascus, and that they managed to infiltrate the eastern countryside of Daraa, attempting to reach the western countryside of the province, where the areas controlled by Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid are, where it controls about 275 km of the western countryside of Daraa on the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored 4 days earlier,  the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; finishing the sweep operations in Yarmouk Camp -the capital of the Palestinian dispersion- and al-Tadamon neighbourhood, imposing their full control over the south of Damascus after the withdrawal of members of the “Islamic State” organization and their families, according to a secret agreement that took place between the regime and organization, where about 1600 members of the “Islamic State” organization have gotten out of Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon towards the Syrian Desert under a full Russian supervision, and with this control, the regime forces and their allies have recovered Damascus province and its countryside (Rif Dimashq) completely, except for al-Tanf area which is under the control of the International Coalition Forces at the Syrian – Iraqi border.
