The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

The regime forces and their allies restore most of the positions they lost in the west of the Euphrates and the death of about 90 members of them and of the organization raises to about 250, the number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties in 15 days

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to restore most of positions which they had lost for members the “Islamic State” organization during its violent attack which targeted a front of about 100 km along the west banks of Euphrates River, from the west of Al-Bokamal to the east of Al-Mayadin, where the regime forces managed to attack again which forced the organization to leave its positions and withdraw to the Desert, in order to prevent the fall of large number of human losses in its ranks, and to be able to re-attack in the next days, where the organization aims through these repeated attacks, to confuse the regime, and to strain it and to inflict the largest possible number of casualties in the ranks of the regime and it allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fact that the Russian warplanes have not been intensively involved in supporting the regime forces and pushing the attack of the organization on the area, and the attacks which have completed 48 hours, resulted in the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, where the number of casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and their allies, rose to 55 at least including 3 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, and 6 Iranian members, while it rose to at least 31, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling and exchange of targeting the western banks of Euphrates River and the administrative border between the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and the eastern countryside of Homs.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to 1147, the number of deaths of both parties who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory, in the provinces of Damascus, Deir Ezzor and Homs, where it rose to 696, the number of members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them who were killed in 2 months of clashes in al-Bokamal Desert, the countryside of Deir Ezzor, south of the capital Damascus and the eastern outskirts of Homs, where 2 thirds of them were killed in the south of Damascus, also it rose to 451 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the same battles, since the recovery of the Organization in the 13th of March 2018, also tens of others of both parties were killed and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to the presence of missing members and captives in the ranks of the both parties, and among the total number of casualties the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 162 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, 2 of them were executed and 9 of them are of the Russian Forces, during clashes and confrontations accompanied by detonating members of the “Islamic State” organization for themselves suing booby trapped vehicle and explosive belts in the clash sites, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 78 members of the organization in these clashes, which have been carried out out-of-a-sudden in the eastern countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor since the 22nd of May 2018 until today.
