About 40 casualties of the foreign militias loyal to the regime forces killed in targeting of their positions at the Syrian – Iraqi border

Sites and points of the Lebanese Hezbollah militias and other militias loyal to the regime forces of non-Syrian nationalities were targeted by warplanes, which are still unknown until the moment, the targeting took place at the Syrian –Iraqi border in the vicinity of al-Bokamal area in the far east of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of about 40 militias loyal to the regime forces of non-Syrian nationalities as a result of this targeting, where it is not known until the moment whether the casualties were of the Iraqi or Lebanese nationality, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, also there are some missing persons as well as information about other casualties.

The Syrian Observatory published on Sunday, the 17th of June, 2018, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that preparations are under way for a large-scale military operation in Deir Ezzor Desert; within the eastern sector of the Province west of Euphrates River, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the “Islamic State” organization is mobilizing its members and vehicles in the area between al-Bokamal and al-Mayadin at the west Banks of Euphrates river, in conjunction with another mobilization in the area between al-Bokamal and the 2nd Station (T2), where the “Islamic State” organization is preparing for a violent attack against the regime forces, Iranian forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah and the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the preparations comes after the “Islamic State” organization was able to seize large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and equipment during its attacks against the regime forces and their allies west of Euphrates River, al-Bokamal city, and the 2nd Station, and after hundreds of its members were able to cross Euphrates River from its east bank to its west bank, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that these preparations coincide with apprehension among the Iranian forces that the “Islamic State” organization may able to close their most important strategic road; the road of Tehran – Beirut road, which led the battles of its opening with control of the Abu Kamal the commander of al-Quds Legion the prominent Iranian general Qasim Soleimani in late 2017.

The Iranian fear comes from the control of al-Bokamal and closing the road of Tehran – Beirut, after the absence of Russian warplanes in supporting the Iranians and non-Syrian gunmen loyal to the regime in their operations, and also not supporting them in repelling the organization’s attacks which have escalated since May 22nd, 2018, and the Syrian Observatory also published about 24 hours ago that positions of the “Islamic State” organization in the west of the Euphrates River, within the deserts of Deir Ezzor and Homs, are witnessing movements by the organization and alertness by its members, and the sources suggested that the organization will carry out new offensives against the regime forces and their allies of Iranian forces and gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in their positions in the vicinity of the cities, towns and villages which are located in the west of the Euphrates River, about 48 hours after the last offensive carried out by members of the organization on Al-Mayadin Desert, where the organization seeks to exhaust the regime, distract it and inflict the greatest number of casualties.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Tuesday, that reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces are continuing with their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, to bring military reinforcements to the Syrian Desert, where the regime forces brought again tens of military vehicles carrying equipment, weapons and ammunition as well as hundreds of members of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the bringing of these reinforcements comes in an attempt by the regime forces to fortify their positions and strengthen their presence in the Syrian Desert, for fear of a mass offensive that may be carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against them in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to expand its control over the enclaves that are under its control, and to revive its areas of control on the Syrian territory, in the wake of the attacks which are carried out either by the regime forces and their allies, or by the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition through its American, Italian, French and European forces, where the organization which is located in the triangle of Al-Sukhnah – Jabal Abu Rajeem – Al-Tibah in the west of Palmyra – Al-Sukhnah – Deir Ezzor Road, is seeking to expand its control even more amid successive preparations carried out by the organization to expand the scope of its attacks.

And the Syrian Observatory published in early June 2018, that that the organization managed through an attack on a front of about 100 km long, to move tens of its members from the east bank of the river to its west bank, after the organization7 imposed its presence in the areas of al-Ramadi, Hasrat, al-Baq’aan, and al-Jala’a, opposite to al-Sha’fa town and Abu al-Hasan area, and the SOHR also obtained information on the 2nd of April 2014, from a number of reliable sources, reporting that about 400 fighter of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, have crossed from the enclave east Euphrates -which is surrounded by the Syria Democratic Forces who are supported by the International Coalition- to the west of Euphrates River in the form of groups, where they crossed through al-Shafa area, after intense shelling by the “Islamic State” Organization on areas controlled by the regime and its loyal gunmen west of Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory monitored at nigh of the 5th of June 2018, that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to restore most of positions which they had lost for members the “Islamic State” organization during its violent attack which targeted a front of about 100 km along the west banks of Euphrates River, from the west of Al-Bokamal to the east of Al-Mayadin, where the regime forces managed to attack again which forced the organization to leave its positions and withdraw to the Desert, in order to prevent the fall of large number of human losses in its ranks, and to be able to re-attack in the next days, where the organization aims through these repeated attacks, to confuse the regime, and to strain it and to inflict the largest possible number of casualties in the ranks of the regime and its allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fact that the Russian warplanes have not been intensively involved in supporting the regime forces and pushing the attack of the organization on the area, and the attacks which have completed 48 hours, resulted in the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, the SOHR also published few days ago that the regime forces are continuing with their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, to bring military reinforcements to the Syrian Desert, where the regime forces brought again tens of military vehicles carrying equipment, weapons and ammunition as well as hundreds of members of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the bringing of these reinforcements comes in an attempt by the regime forces to fortify their positions and strengthen their presence in the Syrian Desert, for fear of a mass offensive that may be carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against them in the deserts of Homs and Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to expand its control over the enclaves that are under its control, and to revive its areas of control on the Syrian territory, in the wake of the attacks which are carried out either by the regime forces and their allies, or by the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition through its American, Italian, French and European forces, where the organization which is located in the triangle of Al-Sukhnah – Jabal Abu Rajeem – Al-Tibah in the west of Palmyra – Al-Sukhnah – Deir Ezzor Road, is seeking to expand its control even more amid successive preparations carried out by the organization to expand the scope of its attacks.

And the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 257 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, 2 of them were executed and 9 of them are of the Russian Forces, during clashes and confrontations accompanied by detonating members of the “Islamic State” organization for themselves using booby trapped vehicle and explosive belts in the clash sites, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 147 members of the organization in these clashes, which have been carried out out-of-a-sudden in the eastern countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor since the 22nd of May 2018, the date of ISIS exit from the south of Damascus, until today, the 11th of June 2018, within 1301, the number of deaths of both parties who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory, in the provinces of Damascus, Deir Ezzor and Homs, where it rose to 782, the number of members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them who were killed in clashes in al-Bokamal Desert, the countryside of Deir Ezzor, south of the capital Damascus and the eastern outskirts of Homs, where 2 thirds of them were killed in the south of Damascus, also it rose to 519 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the same battles, since the recovery of the Organization on the 13th of March 2018, also tens of others of both parties were killed and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to the presence of missing members and captives in the ranks of the both parties.
