SDF on alert in al-Raqqah city after the biggest killing of their fighters since controlling the city

Al-Raqqah city is witnessing a state of alert among members of the Syria Democratic Forces who control the city; and supported by the International Coalition, the alert came after the largest targeting process fort their fighters in the city since their control of al-Raqqah city, which used to be the former main stronghold of the “Islamic State” Organization in Syria in September 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that an explosion rocked Al-Raqqah city today evening, Sunday, the 17th of June 2018, caused by targeting a patrol of the military police of the Syria Democratic Forces in Tal Abyad Street in Al-Raqqah city, which resulted in killing 5 members at least, as a part of the recent targeting processes to the SDF members in the provinces of Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 13th of June 2018, that an explosion was heard in al-Suwar area in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor afternoon of yesterday, Tuesday, the 12th of June 2018, intersected sources said that it was caused by a detonating a booby-trapped motorcycle in the town which is located on the road of Deir Ezzor – al-Hasakah, where the bombing killed 3 people including a members of the forces controlling the town, Syria Democratic Forces, also the explosion wounded others and some of them were seriously wounded, which may raise the number of victims.

The Syrian Observatory published on Monday, that the Syria Democratic Forces imposed a curfew on the motorcycles, from 6:00 am on Wednesday the 13th of June 2018, till the end of Eid al-Fitr, and the SDF justified that this curfew will be imposed due to “security reasons”, for fear of carrying out detonations in the areas under their control in Deir Ezzor countryside, after the security events that were witnessed in areas in the east of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in the recent days, where the SOHR published hours ago, that a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle believed to belong to the “Islamic State” Organization; blew himself up using an explosive belt at a checkpoint of the Syria Democratic Forces in Gharanij town, which is controlled by SDF in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor yesterday, Sunday, where at least 3 members of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed during this suicide attack, and others were wounded including civilians with varying severity, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday night that an explosion rocked Hawayej Ziban village which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, it turned out that the explosion was caused by an IED explosion in a motorcycle carrying two members of the SDF, where the two members were killed in the explosion which is believed to be caused by the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory published few hours ago, that learned that a group that is suggested to be “cells of the Islamic State organization”, carried out an attack at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, where the SDF-held areas are located, and in the details obtained by Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; a group of 8 persons, believed to be members of the organization, on 4 motorcycles, each motorcycle carrying a driver and a member with a medium machinegun, attacked last night, a checkpoint of the Syria Democratic Forces in Swidan Jazira area, which is located in the east of the Euphrates River and controlled by the SDF, where the attack resulted in the fall of human losses in the ranks of the latter, where sources said that 3 members at least of the SDF were killed in this offensive, while the members of the cell stopped in the place of the attack and sat up a checkpoint for a short time, where they got the passengers out of their vehicles, confiscated the cigarettes and spoiled them, then they escaped.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 8th of June 2018, that the Kurdish Internal Security Forces (Asayish) raided and searched tens of houses in the villages of Jdid Bakara and Jdid Ekydat as well as the area of Rwayshid in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in the wake of assassinating 2 members of the Syria Democratic Forces by unidentified gunmen in the east of the Euphrates River, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 6th of June 2018, that 2 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed and 12 others were injured with varying severity; after being targeted on the road between al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor by unidentified gunmen, the targeting took place during switching military units in Deir Ezzor with other units brought from al-Raqqah, and the targeting took place on al-Jazrah road, where the wounded were transported to Tal Abyad area in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah city, where this is the second explosion of its kind in about 48 hours, where an IED exploded in a military car was travelling on the road between Ayn Issa and the Brigade 93, which is a considered as a military base includes a base of the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic forces, which killed at least one person of who were in the car.
