Daraa province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: more violent explosions shook the eastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa, caused by the continued shelling of the regime forces for the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of several rocket shells on areas in the towns of al-Naemeh and the Eastern Mleha, the outskirts of Alma town, and the surroundings of Msikah town, coincided with shelling by the regime forces by several artillery shells on areas in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city and al-Yadudeh town northwest of it, the violent shelling by the regime forces was accompanied by missile targeting by the rebel and Islamic Factions for positions of the regime forces in the Radar Battalion and Smei’e area, which is under the control of the regime forces, and information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of the regime forces, raising to more than 408, the number of shells and missiles that targeted Nahta, Bosr al-Harir, Eastern Maliha, Western Maliha, al-Lajat area, al-Hrak, Alma, and other areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, and Kafr Nasej area in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, and Abtaa in the middle countryside of Daraa, which caused more destruction to the property of citizens.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from reliable sources, who confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Iranian forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah, and the gunmen loyal to them who are backed by Iran; have stated withdrawing from the Syria south toward areas 40 kilometers away from the border with the occupied Syrian Golan and the Syrian – Jordanian border, in response to Russian demands that the Iranians and Hezbollah should withdraw from this area after Russian consultations with regional parties, the sources also confirmed that the Russians have given way for the Jordanians and Americans, to discuss with the factions the possibility of reaching a solution regarding the Syrian south, while the regime forces since yesterday until the moment have been intensifying their shelling on Daraa province, and areas in the countryside of Quneitra, where they are targeting the eastern countryside of Daraa by tens of shells and tens of missiles, which caused significant material damage and killed at least 8 citizens Including 3 women.

This shelling aims to force the factions operating in the countryside of Daraa  –which have agreed to form a central operation room in the Syrian south– to yield and accept the Russian conditions to achieve a “reconciliation and agreement” in Daraa and Quneitra provinces, and to preventing a military action that would cause a large human losses of civilians, fighters, members of both parties, also the regime forces are shelling these areas which include the least number of villages; trying to find a corridor for them in case no agreement was reached, to start a military operation that would split factions’-controlled areas, where the factions control the largest part of Daraa and Al-Quneitra, while the regime forces targeted sites of the factions, and information about casualties.

The return of shelling to Daraa came after hours of relative calm, in the wake of violent clashes and intense shelling by tens of artillery and rocket shells by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them on the eastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa, which caused a massive displacement of citizens towards areas away from the shelling and fighting, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored within the past 48 hours of military operations the displacement of about 12500 people from the villages and towns of Bosr al-Harir, Eastern Mleha, Western Mleha, al-Hrak, Msikah, Asim, al-Shomarah, al-Shayyah, and al-Bostan in the eastern countryside of Daraa, amid fears of the increase of displacement due to the military operations east of the province, after the failure of the international parties in finding a solution to the situation of the Syrian south, with the continued stubbornness of the Iranian forces, their allies,  and the gunmen supported by them; in withdrawing from the area according to the regional and international conditions imposed to achieve the solution in the Syrian south.
