Arrests in Douma city about 24 hours after searching a street inside the city in search for weapons

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of a child as a result of a landmine explosion, in Mesraba town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, while the Syrian Observatory monitored deployment of the regime forces inside the neighborhoods in Douma city, where they arrested 4 young men from Al-Jalaa Street in the city, and they were taken to unidentified destination, and these arrests comes about 24 hours after another raid carried out by the regime forces in Al-Jalaa Street in Douma city, where the regime forces closed the street and searched the houses using instruments, where sources said that they were searching for hidden weapons, while the regime forces looted property of the citizens in some uninhabited houses.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 21st of June 2018, that arrests and raids were carried out by the regime forces again in the Eastern Ghouta, in a renewed disregard for the Russian guarantees provided in the displacement agreement of al-Ghouta population towards shelter centers and the Syrian north, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored raids at that time carried out by the regime forces, in houses near the medical tower area in the middle of Douma city, which was controlled by Jaysh al-Islam before displacing its fighters, leaders, and their families from it towards the Syrian north, and the Syrian Observatory’s sources confirmed that regime’s members who raided this area were accompanied by a group of Russian Forces, and the inspection was carried out in search of weapons in the area, considering that this area used to include headquarters of Jaysh al-Islam before leaving it, and residents of Douma monitored -while the raid of the area was underway- the overflight a drone believed to be Russian reconnaissance drone at a high altitude at sporadic durations during 5 consecutive days, and it was not known what was the purpose behind the flight of drones, but residents of the area suggested to the Syrian Observatory that the drone were photographing (and/or video recording) the area.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 6th of June 2018 that the arrest operations by the regime forces and security continue against the Syrian civilians; in the areas which witnessed displacement earlier, in which tens of thousands of citizens remained after guarantees provided to them to stay in their areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces and security carrying out a massive raid during the past 48 hours in al-Tal city in Rif Dimashq, where the regime forces raided more than 110 houses and shops in search of wanted for compulsory conscription service in regime’s army and reserve, where several youths were arrested and taken to security posts to be taken to the conscription service, and the Syrian Observatory monitored yesterday Tuesday, that the regime forces are continuing with their security bodies, to carry out arrests against citizens in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, despite the Russian guarantees for the remaining citizens in the area, who accepted the agreement of the factions of the area and their representatives with the Russians and the regime, where the Syrian Observatory monitored that 4 young men were arrested, and they are from Kafr Batna town, which used to be controlled by Al-Rahman Corps before its fighters with their families and other citizens have been displaced to the Syrian North.
