In conjunction with dropping leaflets calling for “choosing peace and prosperity by the hands of the army”, regime’s helicopters Bombard Daraa city with barrels after almost a year of absence

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: while regime’s helicopters are shelling the countryside of Daraa with barrel bombs, the same helicopters have dropped leaflets on Jassim area in the northern countryside of Daraa on the morning of today, Monday, the 25th of June in 2018, which say: “the Syrian Arab Army is not fighting you, it is fighting the terrorists who wreak havoc and destruction, your sons and brothers in the Syrian Arab army are sacrificing themselves to liberate you from terrorists who are bringing you misery and death to you and your loved ones, remember how our homeland was before the war, your brothers in the Eastern Ghouta and Qalamoun stood against the terrorists and choose peace and prosperity, and you deserve that, don’t be afraid and don’t let the gunmen use you as human shields, get out on the streets and protest against them, help your sons and brothers in the Syrian Arab Army to rid you of them… You are the strongest and the most powerful in the pure land, so prove to everyone your strength, gallantry, and courage in fighting for your dignity.”

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the helicopters dropping 4 barrel bombs on areas in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city, which caused material damage, and this is considered the first barrel bomb bombardment by regime’s helicopters on Daraa city since July 2017, and the bombardment caused destruction in the property of citizens but no information about casualties has been received so far, and the Syrian Observatory monitored more intensive raids on areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, where the raids targeted areas in the towns of al-Sora, Eastern Mleha, al-Hrak, Alma, Nahta, and Bosr al-Harir, also the helicopters dropped more than 15 barrel bombs on areas in Bosr al-Harir town, in conjunction with renewed artillery and missile shelling on areas in al-Msikah town and other places in al-Lajat area, amid targeting other areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, where the shelling on al-Lajat caused the civil defense center to go out of service, as a result of the damage caused by targeting it with its surroundings by the regime forces, raising to 4 the number of service and health centers that went out of work, they are: two hospitals in al-Hrak and Bosr al-Harir, and 2 civil defense centers in al-Msikah in al-Lajat area and in Bosr al-Harir town, amid the continuation of clashes between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, in al-Lajat area and other areas in the vicinity of Bosr al-Harir town, coincided with intense exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, as part of each party to advance at the expense of the other party.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that the Syrian Observatory monitored the warplane carrying out more than 34 raids targeting places in towns and villages of Rakhm, Nahta, al-Hrak, Eastern Mleha, Western Mleha, and Bosr al-Harir, also the helicopters dropped more than 20 barrel bombs on areas in Bosr al-Harir town since dawn of today, Monday, amid bombing of missiles believed to ground-to-ground on areas in Bosr al-Harir town and other areas in the countryside of Daraa, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new escalation by the regime forces in another sector of Daraa Province, where the regime forces targeted after midnight of yesterday by more than 55 missiles believed to ground-to-ground; places controlled by the factions in Daraa city and its outskirts, while the factions continued to target by rocket shells areas controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city, but no information about injuries, while a woman died affected by wounds she had in shelling on areas al-Hrak town several days ago, raising to at least 26 including a woman and her son, 6 women, and 2 female children, the number of people killed in the artillery and missile shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them on several villages and towns in the countryside of Daraa.
