Two days after the shelling stopped, warplanes and helicopters bomb Om Elmiathin, Daraa city and cause casualties

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the sky of Daraa Province is witnessing the return of warplanes and helicopters since the dawn of today, Sunday, the 8th of July 2018, coincided with carrying out missiles airstrikes and dropping barrel bombs on areas in Om Elmiathin town and its outskirts in the eastern countryside of Daraa, accompanied by rocket shelling by the regime forces on areas in the town and its outskirts, also warplanes bombarded places in Daraa city dawn of today, which killed a person and injured two others, and the renewed aerial and missile bombardment comes after its stop since Friday, and the Syrian Observatory published on Saturday morning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of calm in Daraa Province, since the afternoon of the 6th of July 2018, waiting the agreement to take place successively, which includes an immediate ceasefire, start of handing over heavy weapons by the factions and then handing over the medium weapons, and the return of people to the villages and towns that are controlled and not controlled by the regime forces by a guarantee from the Russian military police accompanied with the Red Crescent, and settle the situation of people who wish to do so of civilians and fighters, while those who refuse the agreement will be departed towards the Syrian north, and the international recognized Syrian flag will be raised over government institutions and the institutions will return to work, settle the situation of defected, passed due date, and wanted for compulsory military service and giving them a six-month postpone period, and those who wish to fight the “Islamic State” organization and Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid; can join the 5th Corps which was formed by Russia to fight ISIS, and solving the issue of detainees and abductees, exchange bodies of the killed members and fighters, handing over the prisoners, provided that all of that will take place with a full Russian guarantee.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces sending military reinforcements to Nasib border crossing with Jordan, where armored vehicles and vehicles carrying members of the regime forces were headed towards the crossing, and to the Syrian – Jordanian border, they were seen heading on the international highway to the border of Jordan and Nasib crossing, after the regime forces managed to seize more than 15 vehicles within the crossing, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that thousands of families are still afraid to return to the regime-controlled areas, fearing the arrest of their children by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, while other towns have witnessed the return of thousands of citizens over the past 24 hours towards their villages and towns that the regime forces have not entered, and from which they have been displaced during the escalation of air and ground bombardment since the 19th of June 2018 until the 6th of July 2018.

Also, reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Saida town is witnessing lootings by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, after destroying parts of it in the rocket, artillery, air shelling by the regime forces and warplanes and the Russians, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the smoke rises as a result of burning property of citizens and headquarters used to belonging to the factions in the Saida town, while this calm comes after long days of intense shelling and thousands of raids and barrel bombs by the Russian and regime’s warplanes and helicopters on the countryside of Daraa, thousands of missiles, and artillery and rocket shells, which caused extensive destruction in the property of citizens and heavy casualties among the rebel and Islamic factions, civilians, and the regime forces, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 159 citizens including 32 children and 33 women, who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, in the raids, intense rocket and artillery shelling and raids by the Russians and regime on Daraa Province, and in mine explosion, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented at least 135 casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, the date of starting the regime’s military operation in Daraa countryside, while it rose to 131 at least, the number of fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions who were killed in the same period, as a result of the aerial and rocket shelling and clashes.
