The regime forces deploy at the entire border of Daraa with Jordan, and for the first time in about 5 years they reach the contact lines with Jaysh Khalid Ibn the al-Walid which swore allegiance to ISIS

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces continue to be deployed on the Syrian-Jordanian border today, Monday, the 9th of July 2018, where the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them advanced in the western countryside of Daraa, by imposing their control over the areas of Tal Shihab, Zayzoun, and Hayt, and they become in control of the entire areas of factions on the border with Jordan, also, for the first time since more than five years ago they become in contact with Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid; which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces deploy in vehicles, armored vehicles, and military forces on the entire border, where this borderline from al-Suwaidaa Province until the areas that are controlled by Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid; has become under the control of the regime forces, Including Nasib border crossing with Jordan.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the number of returnees reached more than 200000 civilians, where the overwhelming majority of those who were on the Syrian – Jordanian border have returned to their villages and towns, which have witnessed large and extensive looting operations carried out by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them for the citizens properties of furniture, automobiles, cattle, and other property, and the Syrian Observatory learned that some towns where the displaced population was reluctant to return have returned after the Russians gave guarantees that the regime will not interfere with them. And in the same context, it is expected that the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them continue their deployment at the border areas, until reaching points of contact with Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore “allegiance” to the “Islamic State” Organization.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday, Sunday, that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces have expanded their scope of control in the western countryside of Daraa, where the regime forces were deployed along the border line from the airbase in the west of Daraa, to the east of Shihab town, after they had imposed their control on the airbase which is located in the west of Daraa city, and after they managed today the 8th of July 2018, to take the control of Al-Tayba and Om al-Mayathen towns, in the wake of tens of raids which targeted the area, thus, the regime forces have expanded their scope of control to more than 72.4% of the area of Daraa province, while the factions’ scope of control has decreased to 21% of the area of the province, while Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid is in control of an area of 6.6% of Daraa province.

This control comes after the killing and substantial destruction to the property of citizens and to the infrastructure in the areas which have been shelled, and after the violent attacks by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in addition to the “reconciliations” which took place in a number of villages and towns, where this shelling resulted in the death of 162 citizens including 32 children and 33 women, who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, in the raids, intense rocket and artillery shelling and raids by the Russians and regime on Daraa Province, and in mine explosion, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented at least 135 casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who have been killed since the 19th of June 2018, the date of starting the regime’s military operation in Daraa countryside, while the SOHR documented the death of 131 fighters at least of the rebel and Islamic factions who were killed in the same period, as a result of the aerial and rocket shelling and clashes.
