Clashes continue violently in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa, new bombings hit the city and increase to more than 100; the number of casualties and wounded since today’s dawn

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a new explosion shook Wednesday morning al-Suwaidaa city, caused by a new suicide bomber who used an explosive belt in the city’s slaughterhouse area, raising to 4, the number of suicide bombers of the “Islamic State” Organization who blew themselves up using explosive belts in the slaughterhouse area, near the vegetable market, al-Mishnaqa roundabout, and al-Najmeh roundabout, all are located in al-Suwaidaa city and in the eastern and northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, while the clashes continue at a violent pace in several areas of the province, between the gunmen loyal to the regime forces against the “Islamic State” organization, where the first mentioned are attempting to regain control of the villages and sites they lost in the last few hours to members of the Organization, while members of the “Islamic State” organization started their attacks in conjunction with the suicide bombings in al-Suwaidaa city, where they attacked the villages of al-Shabaki, Sharihi, al-Mtuneh, Rami, al-Swimrah, Tima, Douma, and other points and locations in the area, during which ISIS members were able to control Douma, al-Shabaki, al-Sharihi and Tal al-Basir, but the fighters loyal to the regime were able to retrieve sites they lost in the past hours with the help of the warplanes’ aerial bombardment, where the warplanes continue to target the clash areas and areas controlled by the Organization.

In the same context the Syrian Observatory documented more casualties, where it rose to 40 at least including 28 of the gunmen loyal to the regime (and the rest of them is not known whether they were all civilians of not), the number of people killed during the suicide bombings and clashes, also these attacks have left more than 45 wounded which may raise the death toll, while it rose to 16 including 4 suicide bombers, the number of ISIS members who blew themselves up using explosive belts, the number of ISIS members who were killed in the attacks and clashes in al-Suwaidaa province since the dawn of today Wednesday, the 25th of July 2018, and this death toll is the largest one in attacks by the “Islamic State” organization on al-Suwaidaa province, also, these attacks come days after the visit of Russian anti-terrorism General to al-Suwaidaa.
