8 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in an ambush by ISIS east of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the death of at least 8 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, as a result of an ambush carried out by members of the “Islamic State” organization in the southeastern desert of al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the death toll is expected to rise because some of them are in critical situation, and information about other casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published at the end of June 2018 that it monitored the eruption of violent clashes between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, in the eastern desert of Deir Ezzor countryside west of Euphrates River, as a result of an attack by ISIS on al-Dwayr Desert which is less than 40 km to the west of al-Bokamal city, where the organization seeks through these attacks to disperse the regime forces and their allies, while the clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting between both parties, amid confirmed information about casualties of both parties in the clashes, amid intense shelling by the regime forces on areas in the desert of Deir Ezzor, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 11 days ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from reliable sources, which confirmed that the regime forces have brought military reinforcements of their forces and the forces of their allies to the western banks of the Euphrates River, opposite the controlled areas of the “Islamic State” organization, in its last enclave at the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, along with preparations by the International Coalition and the SDF to start a military operation and end the presence of organization in the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, and the sources confirmed that the points of the regime forces and their fortifications have been strengthened, as a proactive procedure in order to prevent the members of the organization from infiltrating to the regime’s controlled areas in the west of the river.
