A massacre in Koayiah in Yarmouk Basin claims the lives of 8 citizens mostly women raising to 50, the number of civilian casualties out of about 430 casualties who have been killed since the start of clashes

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces and the warplanes and helicopters are continuing their shelling and bombardment on areas in Yarmouk Basin, in the western sector of Daraa countryside, where the shelling caused a massacre in Koayiah area, as the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 8 citizens including 5 women, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions, amid information about more casualties, raising to at least 50 persons at least including 11 children and 10 citizen women, the number of people who have been killed since the 19th of July 2018, as a result of bombardment by warplanes and helicopters as well as the shelling by the regime forces on Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa.

Also, the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, that Yarmouk Basin have been witnessing since the midnight of Saturday – Sunday, a mass displacement included about 4000 persons, who have been displaced from the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed to other areas controlled by the regime forces, due to the intensive shelling, which resulted in decreasing the number of those who remained to about 4000 persons, while the SOHR has documented the death of 283 members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” Organization, who have been killed since the 19th of July 2018, the date of starting the regime’s operation against Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, as well as the death of at least 94 members and officers of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, who were killed in the same period, also hundreds others in the ranks of the both parties were injured with varying severity.
