For the third straight day, the regime forces target the triangle of the 3 provinces: Idlib, Latakia, and Hama

Areas in the triangle of Jisr al-Shughur – Sahl al-Ghab – the northern countryside of Latakia, are witnessing renewed shelling by the regime forces, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored targeting by several shells for areas in the villages and towns of al-Ziyara, al-Hwash, and al-Sermaniyyeh in Sahl al-Ghab, in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces, targeted areas in the vicinity of al-Najeya town in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, also areas in Jabal al-Akrad and Jabal al-Turkman in the northeastern countryside of Latakia were under sporadic shelling by the regime forces, and the shelling came after several days of violent clashes in al-Sermaniyyeh area  on the outskirts of the mentioned triangle, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the factions operating in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday night, Saturday that the regime forces returned to target areas in the triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – Jabal Al-Akrad – Jisr al-Shughur, where the shelling targeted areas in Basbit village which is located in the western countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, while the SOHR documented the death of a young man in the village of Tal Wassit, in Sahl al-Ghab, in the north-western countryside of Hama, as a result of shelling by the regime forces which targeted Zayzun village in the same countryside, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 24 hours ago, that it monitored renewed artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces targeting the triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – Lattakia Mountains – Jisr al-Shughur, as a part of renewed targeting to the area after the fighting which took place today morning, Friday the 3rd of August 2018, where the Syrian Observatory monitored artillery shelling on areas in Bdama town, which is located in the western sector of Jisr Al-Shughur countryside, which resulted in fires in the property of the citizens and in publics facilities, the regime forces also targeted areas in Ziadiyah village south of Jisr Al-Shughur, and other places on the road between Jisr Al-Shughur and the northern mountains of Lattakia, without information about casualties, the SOHR also monitored artillery targeting to Al-Ziyarah and Al-Amaqiyya, as well as other places in the villages of Al-Qanatira, Al-Hawash and Al-Ankawi, in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western sector of Hama countryside, which caused material damage, without information about injuries.

The Syrian Observatory also monitored that a fighting took place in this triangle on the morning of Friday, the 3rd of August 2018, where the Syrian Observatory published that it monitored intense consecutive violent explosions caused by the renewed shelling that targeted again the triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – Jisr al-Shughur – Lattakia Mountains, where the Syrian Observatory monitored intensive  shelling by tens of artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces on Jisr al-Shughur city, and places in al-Qarqour area, and the towns of Qastun, Tal Wasit, al-Ziyara and other areas in Sahl al-Ghab in northwestern countryside of Hama, at the administrative border with Idlib Province, this intense shelling came in conjunction with Violent clashes monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the Islamic factions operating in the area in the vicinity of Sirmaniyah, after the latter monitored a reconnaissance by members of the regime forces at advanced points, which caused clashes to erupt in the Projects area and al-Ibqaa Farms, which are the door to the Sirmaniyah area where the regime forces seek to achieve this advancement, while the factions are desperately fighting to prevent the regime forces from advancing from this area, because it is the main gateway to entering the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur.
