Regime forces and allies achieve a new advancement during their 3rd day of offensive in al-Suwaidaa Desert

Al-Suwaidaa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: clashes continue at an escalating pace in areas east and northeast of al-Suwaidaa desert, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and gunmen villagers, against members of the “Islamic the State “organization, where the first party continue their attacks on the organization’s sites and controlled areas, in a continuous attempt to control more areas as part of the military operation announced by the regime forces, which began on the evening of the 5th of August, and the clashes are accompanied by continued air and missile strikes, amid new advancement achieved by the regime forces at several points in the eastern and northeastern countryside, and information about more casualties and injuries in the ranks of both parties, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces arresting a member of the “Islamic State” Organization after midnight of yesterday, during the suicide attack which targeted the Syrian National Social Party’s point.

The Syrian Observatory published this morning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more casualties against the backdrop of the suicide attack and the continuous military operations in al-Suwaidaa Desert, where it rose to 4, the number of members of the Syrian Nationalist Party loyal to the regime forces who were killed in the suicide attack that was carried out by members of the “Islamic State” organization in a point of them in the eastern desert of al-Suwaidaa to the east of Douma village, and in the same context, it rose to more than 16, the number of killed ISIS members -including a suicide bomber- since the beginning the military operations of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the gunmen villagers in the eastern and northeastern desert of al-Suwaidaa, which began on Sunday night the 5th of August 2018, and since the launch of the operations more than 6 vehicles of  the “Islamic State” organization have been destroyed, and the Syrian Observatory published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the clashes are still continuing at a violent pace, in both eastern and north-eastern deserts of Al-Suwaidaa, as a result of an attack that started on the night of Sunday, the 5th of August 2018, where violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, where the fighting is still taking place on the three fronts of attack, where the regime forces tend to use intensive firepower, to pave the way and advance after they forced the organization to withdraw, especially from the hills, which witnessed advancements by the regime forces in the past 24 hours, where they took the control of a number of them, as well as taking the control of other positions and areas, and the violent clashes were accompanied by bombardment by warplanes and exchange of targeting on the clash areas between the both parties, which resulted in the death and injury of members of the both conflicting parties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored in the past few hours, that fears increase in al-Suwaidaa Province for the lives of their kidnapped people, after the “Islamic State” Organization executed a young male out of about 30 children, girls, and woman abducted on the 25th of July 2018, coincided with military operation started by the regime forces on Sunday the 5th of August 2018 against the “Islamic State” Organization east and northeast of al-Suwaidaa, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored hours ago, the regime forces achieving an advancement by controlling the hills, where now the first stage has become controlling the hills to be able to monitor a wider area, and prevent the organization from carrying out counterattacks, and facilitating the advancement process towards other hills and to the depth of al-Suwaidaa desert in order to end the organization’s presence, the Syrian Observatory also published that the clashes continue in areas east and northeast of al-Suwaidaa desert, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, within the military operation that was started by the regime forces in the area on the evening of the 5th of August 2018 after bringing massive military reinforcements, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes since today evening, Sunday the 5th of August 2018, in areas in both eastern and north-eastern deserts of Al-Suwaidaa, between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, accompanied by violent shelling by the regime forces, where these shelling and clashes come as a part of a military operation by the regime forces to take the control of more areas controlled by the organization and to end the presence of the organization in the area, where the regime forces have brought large military reinforcements to both eastern and north-eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that negotiations continue between representatives of the regime and the “Islamic State” organization regarding the file of people abducted by ISIS during its attacks on al-Suwaidaa city and its eastern and northeastern countryside on the 25th of July 2018, where the Syrian Observatory learned that the negotiations were resumed between both parties to reaching a final agreement, after rejecting the conditions of the organization, which provided for the transfer of its members from Yarmouk Basin to al-Suwaidaa Desert in exchange for the release about 30 women, children, and boys who had been kidnapped from al-Suwaidaa province, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the negotiation is now revolve around 2 key items, namely, the handover of the kidnapped people by ISIS in exchange for handing over the bodies and wounded of the Organization by the gunmen of al-Suwaidaa who have been with them after the attacks of the bloody Wednesday, and these negotiations came in conjunction with the arrival of more military reinforcements to the villages located on the first line adjacent to the eastern and northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, after the arrival and deployment of reinforcements over the past 48 hours.
