Rif Dimashq Desert witnesses ongoing shelling by the regime forces on ISIS areas of presence along with clashes between the members of both parties

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces are continuing their shelling on areas under the control of the “Islamic State” organization in Rif Dimashq Desert, along with clashes between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in areas in the vicinity of Tlul Al-Safa, in an attempt by the regime forces to advance into this area, where the sounds of gunfire and shelling are being heard, amid the death of more members of the both parties, where it rose to 16 at least, the number of casualties of the regime forces, also it rose to at least 30, the number of members of the Organization who have been killed since the 5th of August 2018, and this advancement came after the arrival of military reinforcements of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in Al-Suwaidaa countryside.

The Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that this advancement is coincided with the information which the SOHR has received about the fact that the regime forces facilitated the passage of members of the “Islamic State” organization, from the Syrian Desert on the outskirts of Rif Dimashq towards Homs Province, in exchange for the release of al-Suwaidaa abductees, where the concerns for their lives increases after the deterioration of the health conditions of some of them, since their abduction and detention on the 25th of July 2018, where negotiations took place between the regime, notables from al-Suwaidaa, and members of the “Islamic State” during the past days to make a deal that would move the organization to Homs Desert in exchange for the release of abductees.

The SOHR also published that areas in Al-Suwaidaa province are witnessing raids and arrests carried out by the organization, against people about whom intersected sources said that they are “wanted” by the regime forces, after arresting 5 Bedouin persons in the eastern countryside and questioning them, where searching processes are being carried out for persons who are accused of “cooperating with the organization”, which attacked Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, and killed and executed about 260 persons including 142 citizens including 38 women and children, as well as kidnapping about 30 others, that are still held hostage by the organization after it executed a boy in addition to the death of a citizen woman in unknown circumstances, and the Syrian Observatory has also published that it has received information from a number of intersected sources, about the fact that the regime forces facilitated the passage of members of the “Islamic State” organization, from the Syrian Desert on the outskirts of Rif Dimashq towards Homs Province, in exchange for the release of al-Suwaidaa abductees, where the concerns for their lives increases after the deterioration of the health conditions of some of them, since their abduction and detention on the 25th of July 2018, where negotiations took place between the regime, notables from al-Suwaidaa, and members of the “Islamic State” during the past days to make a deal that would move the organization to Homs Desert in exchange for the release of abductees, while the regime forces are still sweeping areas of al-Suwaidaa desert, to ensure that it is free of any member of the Organization in the eastern and northeastern desert of the countryside of al-Suwaidaa.
