The battles of Rif Dimashq Desert against the organization continue and the ongoing shelling increases the fears of the locals over the abductees along with their resentment against the regime’s procrastination in releasing them

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces’ military operations are continuing within the administrative border of Rif Dimashq with the border of Al-Suwaidaa province, where the regime forces, which managed in the past few hours to tighten the grip on the organization in the area of Tlul Al-Safa, are continuing their rocket and artillery shelling on ISIS controlled areas, amid ongoing clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, amid exchange of targeting between the both parties, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the continued fears over the lives of Al-Suwaidaa abductees, who have been still held in unknown circumstances for the 24th consecutive day, amid escalated resentment against the regime’s procrastination in releasing them through negotiations in which the conditions and demands of the organization of being transported to Homs Desert and releasing its members and close personalities from the prisons of the regime forces and detention centers as well as other conditions, are carried out.

And the Syrian Observatory published today morning, Friday the 17th of August 2018, that with the fall of more casualties it rose to 95, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while it rose to at least 29, the number of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published yesterday Thursday that the violent clashes are still continuing between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in Rif Dimashq Desert, on the administrative border with Al-Suwaidaa countryside, within the ongoing attacks by the regime forces in order to take the control of more positions, achieve further advancement and force the organization to surrender or bow to the conditions of the negotiations about handing over the abductees, and the ongoing violent clashes are accompanied by continued rocket shelling by the regime forces on the controlled areas of the organization in this desert, also this ongoing fighting and the escalation of the number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, are coincided with the continued escalated tension and resentment against the procrastination to release the abductees who have been held hostage by the “Islamic State” organization since the 25th of July 2018, where tens of citizens carried out a sit-in in Al-Suwaidaa city demanding the release of the abductees, and condemning the continuation of holding the abductees for such long time, amid escalating the threat to their lives as a result of the shelling by the regime forces on Tlul Al-Safa area which is the last area for the organization to be presented in Rif Dimashq Desert which is adjacent to the administrative border of Al-Suwaidaa province.
