Regime forces transport hundreds of members, machinery, and equipment from the former capital of “al-Khair State” west of Euphrates towards al-Bokamal city on the road of Tehran – Beirut
Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored movement of the regime forces in the countryside of Deir Ezzor along the western banks of Euphrates River in the eastern sector of the province, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the regime forces transported large-scale military reinforcements of hundreds of members and hundreds of vehicles, machinery, and military and logistic equipment from al-Mayadin city in the west of Euphrates River towards the areas of al-Dwayr and Kashmeh on the road of al-Bokamal city, as part of the increased fortification of their sites in the Desert of Deir Ezzor, after being under tens of attacks that left hundreds of casualties and injuries of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and ISIS members, which were accompanied by exchange of targeting in the fighting areas.
This move at the west banks of Euphrates River also came after the last attack that targeted al-Tim field area near Deir Ezzor Airbase south of Deir Ezzor city, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 7 of the gunmen loyal to the regime forces, while several members of the “Islamic State” Organization were killed and injured in the same attack, which is the first of its kind since the organization’s loss of the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past few hours shelling by the regime forces targeted areas in the eastern banks of Euphrates River, within the pocket that still under the control of the “Islamic State” organization, which are the areas of al-Baghuz, al-Sousah, al-Shafa, and Hajin, which caused material damage but no information about casualties until now.
In the 11 August, the western banks of the river also witnessed an attack by the “Islamic State” Organization on sites of the regime forces in the deserts of Boqruss and al-Mayadin west of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where after the attack violent clashes took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” Organization, amid exchange of attacks on the fighting areas and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the clashes coincided with shelling by the regime forces on sites of the Organization, the Syrian Observatory also monitored the unusual involvement of warplanes in the combat operations and targeting ISIS sites in the eastern Desert of Deir Ezzor west of Euphrates River.
And the Syrian Observatory published in the 1st third of June 2018, that it monitored that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to restore most of positions which they had lost for members the “Islamic State” organization during its violent attack which targeted a front of about 100 km along the west banks of Euphrates River, from the west of Al-Bokamal to the east of Al-Mayadin, where the regime forces managed to attack again which forced the organization to leave its positions and withdraw to the Desert, in order to prevent the fall of large number of human losses in its ranks, and to be able to re-attack in the next days, where the organization aims through these repeated attacks, to confuse the regime, and to strain it and to inflict the largest possible number of casualties in the ranks of the regime and its allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fact that the Russian warplanes have not been intensively involved in supporting the regime forces and pushing the attack of the organization on the area, and the attacks which have completed 48 hours, resulted in the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties.
