Ongoing shelling targets positions of the organization in Rif Dimashq Desert in conjunction with the continued military operations in the area

The clashes are still continuing at an escalating pace, in places in the vicinity of Tlul Al-Safa area which is located in Rif Dimashq Desert at the administrative border with Al-Suwaidaa province, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, within the ongoing operations of the regime forces which aim to end the presence of the organization in the area and force it to surrender, while the regime forces’ attack are accompanied by an ongoing prelude with firepower on positions of the organization and the clash areas, amid information about more casualties and wounded between the both parties, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it documented more casualties in the ongoing military operations in the desert of Rif Dimashq at the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa countryside, where it rose to 136, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while it rose to at least 46, the number of members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.

In the same context, the regime forces continue shelling sites of the “Islamic State” in Tlul al-Safa in the desert of Rif Dimashq, amid the continuation of violent clashes between both parties as part of the ongoing attacks by the regime forces, who seek to achieve more advancement and force the organization to surrender, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them continue their attacks against “Islamic state” organization in Tlul al-Safa on the administrative borders with the countryside of al-Suwaidaa, which is about 50 km away of the Coalition base in al-Tanaf area, where the violent clashes continue between both parties in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces by an intensive missile cover achieving a new advancement, by controlling Khirbat al-Hawi and other sites and points in the area, in addition to their advancement from areas located at the northern outskirts of Tlul al-Safa, amid confirmed information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties, as well as the destruction and damage of vehicles of both parties.

On the other hand and in the same context, the fate of Al-Suwaidaa abductees who were kidnapped by the organization a month ago in the attacks of the bloody Wednesday on the 25th of July 2018, is still unknown, amid ongoing resentment prevailing Al-Suwaidaa as they want the fate of the abductees to be revealed in the light of not reaching an agreement between the regime and the organization leads to the release of the abductees by the latter, the Syrian Observatory published in the past 48 hours, that the state of tension and resentment is continuing in al-Suwaidaa province, about the fate of the abductees of al-Suwaidaa province (who have been detained by ISIS since the 25th of July 2018; after it carried out its biggest, deadliest and most violent attack in al-Suwaidaa province since the start of the Syrian revolution), as fears for the fate of the kidnapped people and the great public discontent continue over the stall of the Syrian regime in the case of abductees, and in conjunction with the continuous resentment; the elders of al-Aql Sheikhs of the Unitarian Druze community have made a statement about assigning several people to a negotiating committee, and the Syrian Observatory obtained a copy of the statement, it says:

“due to the present circumstances and requirements of the public interest, a negotiating committee is formed in regard of the abductees of al-Suwaidaa province of the gentlemen: Dr. Samer Abu Ammar, Dr. Saeed al-Ak, Mr. Osama Abu Bakkar, Mr. Adel al-Hadi. And the work of the committee is limited to following up on the case of the abducted people of the province and reaching out to the concerned authorities to achieve their release and return to their families unharmed.”
