Unidentified gunmen kill QSD fighter in Syria’s Deir al-Zour

According to the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, one Qiwaat Suriyya al-Dimoqratiyya (QSD), or Syrian Democratic Forces, fighter was killed during an attack by unidentified gunmen in the village of al-Jerthi Sharqi in Syria’s Deir al-Zour governorate on 28 August. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Casualty figures provided by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights cannot be independently verified but have been assessed to be the most reliable.
