Ambiguity surrounds the circumstances in which Ali Kayyali (Miraj Ural) was injured, who is the instigator of Baniyas and al-Bayda massacres and the leader of the “Syrian Resistance” militia

The nature of the circumstances in which the instigator of Baniyas and al-Bayda massacres, the leader of the “Syrian Resistance” militia, Ali Kayyali -known as the “Miraj Ural”- was injured, where Kayyali was wounded along with two of his escort and another member of his escort was killed, after an explosion took place during their move on the road of Salnafah – Lattakia, and it is not known whether his injury and casualties in the ranks of his escorts were caused by what the Popular Front for the Liberation of Iskenderun claimed which is headed by Kayyali, where it alleged that an explosive device was detonated by unknown gunmen -where an opposition faction hastened to claim responsibility of the bombing-, or if it was caused by the 2 explosions that shook Salnafah after the afternoon of yesterday, which were caused by the fall of rocket shells on Salnafah area.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 1st of April 2016 that it was informed by reliable sources that Ali Kayyali, who is from Iskenderun and holds the Turkish nationality, is the leader of the “Syrian resistance” militia loyal to the regime forces, and the instigator of Baniyas and al-Bayda massacres, which took place in the early May 2013, where he disappeared 5 days ago and until the moment his fate is still uncertain. It worth mentioning that the Syrian resistance for the liberation of Iskenderun led by Ali Kayyali, had participated along with the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the clashes of Kasab area and the northern countryside of Latakia back in 2014.
