The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

Regime forces, Hezbollah, and their allies advance in Tlul al-Safa area and more losses raise to about 560, the number of members, fighters, and civilian casualties

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the desert of Rif Dimashq at the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa countryside, is witnessing the continuation of violent clashes in its areas, between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen and the Lebanese Hezbollah, where the clashes are concentrated in Tlul al-Safa in a continuation of military operations by the regime forces and their allies in order to end the presence of the “Islamic State” Organization, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the regime forces achieving a new advancement in Tlul al-Safa area after a violent attack within the area, of which the regime forces are trying to go deep in order to weaken the organization, disperse it, and clamp down on it even more, and the Syrian Observatory monitored more casualties by the shelling and continuous battles, where it rose to 211, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while at least 88 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 6th of August 2018 that  the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces backed by Hezbollah and militiamen loyal to them, are continuing their military operations within Rif Dimashq Desert which is located at the administrative border with the province of al-Suwaidaa and its desert, in Tlul Al-Safa area which is also located at a distance of about 50 km from the International Coalition’s base in al-Tanf, where the SOHR monitored clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in places in Tlul Al-Safa area into which the regime forces achieved advancement in the past 72 hours, while the regime forces tend to sweep the areas over which they imposed their control and which they advance into, in order to make sure that they are free of sleeper cells of the organization.
