Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored ongoing violent clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and the Lebanese Hezbollah, against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in places in Tlul Al-Safa area in Rif Dimashq Desert, at a distance of about 50 km from the International Coalition’s base in al-Tanf area, at the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa countryside, as a result of the continued attack by the regime forces in the area, in an attempt to go deeper into the are of Tlul Al-Safa, and to clamp down on the organization more and more, which is fortified in the area, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the clashes resulted in the death of 5 members at least of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, as well as the injury of about 25 others with varying severity, while at least 11 members of the organization were killed, amid the ability of the regime forces to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of more positions and spaces around Tlul Al-Safa area, and the clashes were accompanied by intensive exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, while this ongoing fighting is coincided with escalating the fears over the lives of the citizens who have been kidnapped from Al-Suwaidaa countryside, where the negotiations have not succeeded until now, to release the abductees or anyone of them, amid ambiguity surrounding the fate of the abducted people from the countryside of al-Suwaidaa Province, increasing the fears over their lives, which pushed the residents to carry out more sit-ins and calls in order to set their relatives free, while the regime forces are still continuing their stall, which the locals described it as indifference to their lives, and that the regime forces take the abductees as a motivation to recruit more people of the province in their wars against the organization.

And with the fall of more human losses as a result of the ongoing clashes and shelling, it rose to at least 222, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while at least 93 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.
