About 580 civilians and fighters were killed and the fate of people by ISIS 50 days ago is unknown, regime forces and Hezbollah continue their attack to clamp down
Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes continue in places in Tlul al-Safa area in Rif Dimashq at the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa, between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and the Lebanese Hezbollah, amid shelling by the regime forces every now and then on sites of the Organization in the area, this comes within the framework of military operations by the regime forces and their allies in the area, which aim to force the Organization to surrender, in a continuation of regime forces’ attack attempting to go deep in Tlul al-Safa area and clamp down more on the organization which is fortified in the area, and the clashes were accompanied by intense exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties.
And the clashes were accompanied by intensive exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, while this ongoing fighting is coincided with escalating the fears over the lives of the citizens who have been kidnapped from Al-Suwaidaa countryside, where the negotiations have not succeeded until now, to release the abductees or anyone of them, amid ambiguity surrounding the fate of the abducted people from the countryside of al-Suwaidaa Province, increasing the fears over their lives, which pushed the residents to carry out more sit-ins and calls in order to set their relatives free, while the regime forces are still continuing their stall, which the locals described it as indifference to their lives, and that the regime forces take the abductees as a motivation to recruit more people of the province in their wars against the organization.
And with the fall of more human losses as a result of the ongoing clashes and shelling, it rose to at least 226, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while at least 95 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.
