The regime forces continue their targeting to Hama countryside leaving more casualties

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a military commander in the National Liberation Front, who was killed with his escort as a result of rocket shelling carried out by the regime forces on places on the road between Jabal Shashabo and Qalaat al-Madiq in the north-west of Hama, also the regime’s shelling continued targeting the villages of Bab al-Taqa, Al-Huwayz, Al-Shari’aa and Al-Hamra in Sahl Al-Ghab, after that, the calm returned to prevail Hama countryside, with the exception of sporadic shells that are fired by the regime forces on places in Al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it monitored the sound of explosions in the western, northern and north-western countryside of Hama, intersected sources confirmed that they were caused by the fall of shells on places in Al-Suqaylabiyah town which is controlled by the regime forces, along with targeting to the positions of the regime forces in the areas of Sheikh Hadid and Al-Hammamiyyat in Hama countryside, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, while the regime forces targeted areas in Al-Zakah village and the towns of Al-Lataminah and Kafr Zita north of Hama, in conjunction with their shelling on areas in Qalaat al-Madiq town and its vicinity, in the north-western countryside of Hama, at the administrative border with Idlib province, the regime forces also shelled areas in the villages of Medan Ghazal and Al-Kirkat in Jabal Shashabo, while no information about injuries was reported yet.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday, that explosions were heard in the controlled areas of the regime forces in the western countryside of Hama, caused by the fall of shells on the towns of Safsafiyah and Salhab, which are controlled by the regime forces, causing material damage, but no information about casualties was reported, and this targeting comes less than 24 hours after targeting Mahardah town which resulted in the death of 10 persons mostly children and women, it also comes after a funeral of people who were killed on Friday, the 7th of September 2018, in the fall of shells launched by a faction called “Ansar al-Tawhid” on Muhradah city, which is inhabited by majority of Christian citizens in the northern countryside of Hama, which caused a massacre of 10 casualties they are: a mother, her 3 children, their grandmother, as well as 2 other sisters and 3 other people, where more than 2000 people held a funeral for the casualties on Saturday afternoon, the 8th of September 2018, while the Syrian Observatory published on Friday, that a faction called Ansar al-Tawhid claimed responsibility of the operation of targeting Muhradah town, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that a Four wheel drive vehicle (4×4) with a missile launcher was noticed with another vehicle approaching a city controlled by the opposition, where it fired missiles targeting Muhradah town, then it withdrew from the area, while it is noteworthy that Ansar al-Tawhid Faction was founded in the first third of March 2018, led by a former commander in Jund al-Aqsa organization who is descended from the eastern countryside of Idlib, and he is known as Abu Ziab Sarmin, and the number of the faction’s members is estimated at about 350 fighters, and this faction is presented in the areas of the northern countryside of Lattakia and the areas of Sarmin and Nayrab, and reliable sources confirmed that Ansar al-Tawhid Faction, was as a revival of Jund al-Aqsa organization which had been founded by Abu Abdul Aziz al-Qatari.
