In a dispute over the ways of human trafficking, deadly clash between Turkish-backed factions in Afrin leaves 15 casualties and wounded of the fighters, tension rises

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the tension still prevails Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, as a result of new clashes between factions of the “Olive Branch” Operation which are led by the Turkish Forces, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the outbreak of tension against the backdrop of clashes between al-Hamzat Brigade and al-Sultan Murad Division against Jaysh Osud al-Sharqiyyah and Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah Gathering, after a disagreement on the road of smuggling to the Turkish territory in Afrin area, which is also turned to a road to smuggle civilians from Syria To Turkey through various border areas with Turkey, and reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that the clashes killed 5 members and injured 10 others of both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation .

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published ten days ago that clashes took place between members of a faction believed to be Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, which is part of the “Olive Branch” Operation and the majority of its members are from Deir Ezzor Province, where the clashes broke out at one o’clock after midnight of yesterday and lasted until the morning of today the 31st of August 2018, which injured several fighters and information about the death of one person as a result of the clashes in al-Villat Street area in Afrin city, followed by calm in the area after the intervention of the faction’s leadership and mediators to resolve the disagreement; which reasons have not been known yet.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 24th of August 2018 that tension prevails Afrin city which is under the control of the Turkey-supported factions of “Olive Branch”, against the backdrop of the renewed fight between the factions in the city located northwest of Aleppo, where the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes took place on Friday evening the 24th of August 2018, between members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah faction against members accused of belonging Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, that took place in Mahmudiya area in Afrin city, but no information at the moment about the causes of these clashes, which in turn killed two members of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, and injured others of both parties, and the tension still prevails the area until the moment.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published 10 days ago that clashes took place between fighters of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah faction against members of the military police in the vicinity of al-Saraya Building, inside Afrin city, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the fighting erupted as the military police tried to get back a house, in which a Kurdish citizen of the residents of the city has filed a complaint about seizing it by Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah, and while the attempt of getting the house back, the fighters of Ahrar al-Sharqiyyah refused to hand over the house, which resulted in the break out of clashes between the both parties, which resulted in the injury of a member of the military police, and the clashes continued until the a force of the Turkish forces came and settled the fighting.
