On the 50th day of their abduction, kidnapped people of al-Suwaidaa appear in a new video demand to be “released” after the Russians and the regime fail to do so
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of a video shows the kidnapped people of al-Suwaidaa who are about 30 children and citizen women, of whom a 19-year-old boy was executed in addition to the death of a woman in mysterious circumstances, and one of the abducted women said in the video: “We are the prisoners of the Islamic State, we are all fine and no one is harmed among us, but no one is working to release us, neither the regime nor Russia, and we wish that those who see this video work in our cause and release us as soon as possible,” and this video comes in the wake of failure of the continuous negotiations in reaching a solution that ends the tragedy of the abductees, and brings them to their families after they were abducted on the 25th of July 2018.
The Syrian Observatory monitored at the end of July 2018 that the organization threatened the regime through one of the kidnapped women from the villages in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa, who appeared in a video broadcasted by ISIS, where Mrs. Souad Adib Abu Ammar in the video asked the Syrian regime president Bashar al-Assad and the media millionaire Kinanah Hwyja to carry out the terms of the “Islamic State” organization, and release prisoners and detainees belong to or connected to the organization, and stop the military operation in Yarmouk basin in the western countryside of Daraa, also in the video footage the woman warned that the organization will execute them if these conditions were not implemented, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored this video raising resentment in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa, where anger and resentment prevail along with cautious anticipation for regime authorities’ reaction to the organization’s conditions, through which the organization set the regime in a deadlock, after ISIS linked the implementation of its conditions to the lives of the abductees females.
The military operations of the regime forces, their allies, and the Lebanese Hezbollah continue against the “Islamic State” organization in Rif Dimashq at the administrative border of al-Suwaidaa countryside, where the violent clashes continue between both parties in Tlul al-Safa area, accompanied by continuous rocket shelling in renewed attempts by the regime forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah, and the loyal gunmen to achieve new advancement and force the organization to surrender, where the regime forces are attempting to go deep to the depth of Tlul al-Safa area, to clamp down on the “Islamic State” Organization which controls the area, where the regime forces intensify the shelling every now and then and carry out surprise attacks, in which they advance and control new sites, and the violent clashes between both parties coincide with exchange of targeting in the clash areas, where the shelling and clashes caused more casualties.
Where the Syrian Observatory documenting yesterday that it rose to at least 238, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while at least 117 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed in the same period, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.
