Clashes continue on the outskirts of the last ISIS enclave east of Euphrates with missile, artillery, and aerial targeting by the International Coalition and SDF

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continue at an escalating pace between the “Islamic State” organization against the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition Forces, in areas within the last remaining pocket of the organization at the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the clashes are accompanied by continuous rocket shelling by the International Coalition and SDF on the clash areas and on sites of the Organization, as part of the continuation of the military operations of the International Coalition to ending the existence of the organization in this last enclave, amid advancement attempts by the Syria Democratic Forces in more than one area, to clamp down on the Organization in its last enclave, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the displacement of hundreds of the citizens from the towns of Sha’afah, al-Sousah and al-Baghuz through al-Sha’afah crossing to al-Alwani area in the desert near the Syrian – Iraqi border.

Also the Syrian Observatory monitored the escalation in number of casualties, where the number of ISIS deaths rose to at least 46 since last Monday, the SOHR also documented the death of at least 13 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces one of whom has served as a field commander in Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces, as a result of the military operations of the Coalition and Syria Democratic Forces in the last enclave of the Organization east of Euphrates, also the Syrian Observatory monitored the organization re-controlling sites to which the Syria Democratic Forces have advanced in al-Kasra area within the same enclave, after a violent attack accompanied by exchange of targeting that caused confirmed casualties in the ranks of both parties.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has obtained information from a number of reliable sources, which confirmed to the SOHR that 3 of members of the “Islamic State” organization of non-Syrian nationalities; along with 10 women have surrendered with several children and boys to the Syria Democratic Forces, this took place on the outskirts of al-Baghuz area on the Syrian – Iraqi border, within the last enclave of ISIS east of Euphrates River on the eastern bank of the river, where they were transported to al-Tank oilfield, which was hit yesterday by a surprise attack by members of the organization, after which violent clashes took place between the attackers against the Syria Democratic Forces fighters in the vicinity of al-Tank oilfield area, which caused casualties in the ranks of both parties, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the Syria Democratic Forces keeping the organization busy fighting in fronts between Al-Baghuz and Al-Susah and between Hajin and Abu Al-Hassan, where they managed to monitor the roads between these areas by firearm, while the organization and in order to confuse the warplanes flying over its controlled areas, turned to set fire on tires and in holes filled with oil, and these clashes and the aerial and ground bombardment resulted in the fall of more human losses in the ranks of the organization, while intersected sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the grand city of Hajin, became empty from its residents, after they displaced from it to areas far from the shelling although the military operation includes all of the controlled areas of the organization within the enclave, after safe bathes were opened for the exit of the citizens who desire to flee from the area, after the Syrian Observatory published on Sunday the 9th of September 2018, that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to arrest 29 members of the “Islamic State” organization and their families, in Deir Ezzor Desert, and the reliable sources confirmed that the arrests which took place about 24 hours ago, were carried out while members were trying to flee with their families from Deir Ezzor towards the Syrian – Iraqi border, then they will head towards Turkey, and the sources added that among the captives and detainees, there were a Turkish member and 3 others of non-Syrian nationalities, who were with their Russian wives, with other fighters of Syrian and regional nationalities, also large sums of money were found in their possessions, also a female Yazidi captive was with them, where she was released by the SDF.

The trusted sources of the Syrian Observatory reported that the International Coalition Forces and the Syria Democratic Forces have advanced slowly as a result of the mines planted within this enclave by the “Islamic State” organization, also the remaining civilians within the enclave continue trying to cross into the Syria Democratic Forces’-controlled areas fleeing the shelling and military operations, while the Syrian Observatory published yesterday Wednesday that the military operations are still continuing in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continued clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity and outskirts of Al-Baghuz town and the outskirts of Hajin town, which are located in the east and west of the last enclave controlled by the organization in the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, amid continued hit-and-run operations between the both parties and the counter attacks through which each party tries to achieve advancement at the expense of the other, where the SDF and the International Coalition are trying to end the presence of the organization in the area, while the latter is seeking to repel the attacks of its enemies and prevent them from advancing as well as inflicting the largest possible number of casualties in their ranks, and the Syrian Observatory learned that a number of civilian inhabitants of the enclave which is controlled by the organization, managed to reach Al-Alawani area near Al-Susah area, where they were transported by the SDF and the International Coalition to the controlled areas of the latter, the SOHR also monitored shelling by the International Coalition by 6 missiles on ISIS controlled areas, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.
