Battles of Rif Dimashq Desert continue between Hezbollah, the regime forces, and their allies against ISIS in the rugged-nature area of Tlul al-Safa and the first tries to go deeper in the area

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Clashes continue at a varying pace between the “Islamic State” Organization which is besieged within Tlul al-Safa area in Rif Dimashq near the administrative border with al-Suwaidaa Province, against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and the Lebanese Hezbollah, in a renewed attempt by the regime forces to end the existence of the organization in the area, unlike the Organization which fights violently and desperately defends its last fortresses in the Syrian south, in conjunction with targeting by the regime forces for positions of the organization in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that  the desert of Rif Dimashq is still witnessing clashes between the regime forces and their allies against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in an attempt to advance at the expense of the latter which is fortified in Tlul Al-Safa area, with its rough nature, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the continued clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities as well as the members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, against the members of the organization, in the abovementioned area, where the regime forces managed to achieve further advancement and take the control of more positions within their operations to advance into the depth of ISIS controlled area in Rif Dimashq Desert, and the clashes were accompanied by shelling by the regime forces on the controlled areas of the organization, amid exchange of targeting which left confirmed casualties in the ranks of the both parties.

Where the Syrian Observatory documented during the battles witnessed in both deserts of Rif Dimashq and Al-Suwaidaa, the fall of more human losses, where it rose to 249, the number of ISIS members who have been killed in the bombings, shelling and clashes since the 25th of July 2018, while it rose to at least 121, the number of members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who were killed in the same period, including members of the Lebanese Hezbollah one of them is a Lebanese commander in addition to officers of the regime forces with varied ranks the highest of whom is a Major General, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the attack of ISIS in Al-Suwaidaa countryside on the 25th of July 2018, the death of about 142 citizens including 38 women and children, in addition to the killing of 116 people, the majority of whom were of the gunmen villagers who carried the gun to repel the organization’s attack, and a 19-year-old boy was executed by ISIS after being kidnapped along with about 30 others, and a woman died when she was held by ISIS in conditions that still vague so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published yesterday, that it monitored the rise of discontent among people of al-Suwaidaa Province, and among families of the abducted people who are waiting for the regime, the Russians, and the negotiating committees to find a solution that would lead to the release of the abductees, who are still being held for the 52nd Day by the “Islamic State” Organization, which carried out the heaviest and most violent attack in al-Suwaidaa Province on the 25th of July 2018, back then it managed to attack villages located on the first populated line which is adjacent to al-Suwaidaa Desert and attacked al-Suwaidaa city as well, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored accusations by families of the kidnapped people and residents of al-Suwaidaa Province against the first negotiating Committee, which is composed of several personalities who are in Syria and Turkey, some of whom are in contact with Kinanah Hwyja and the press office of the Palace of Bashar Assad, and accusations against the Russians and the regime; of not making any serious movement in the negotiations as well as obstructing and impeding the advancement of the negotiations, also the people accused the regime and the Russians of trying to pressure people of west to volunteer in the ranks of the regime forces; through the kidnapped people who are about 30 children and women, the where the regime forces still need many more people to launch Idlib Battle, and these accusations coincide with the continuation of the military operation by the regime forces, without taking into account the safety of abductees or the reactions of the “Islamic State” organization towards the advancement operation within its last strongholds in Rif Dimashq countryside on the border with al-Suwaidaa countryside, in addition to people’s doubts about how their kidnapped ones appeared in the videos, where the people are skeptical about how the videos and pictures reach public opinion without the “Islamic State” organization claiming responsibility of them, also the tension, suspicion, and resentment embodied by accusations comes against the regime, the Russians, and the negotiating committees; after the abductees appeared in a new video of which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of, the copy of the video showed the kidnapped people of al-Suwaidaa who are about 30 children and citizen women, of whom a 19-year-old boy was executed in addition to the death of a woman in mysterious circumstances, and one of the abducted women said in the video: “We are the prisoners of the Islamic State, we are all fine and no one is harmed among us, but no one is working to release us, neither the regime nor Russia, and we wish that those who see this video work in our cause and release us as soon as possible.”
