Hours after it arrested a lawyer and another citizen…Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrests a man from a village in Jabal Al-Zawiya and takes him to one of its prisons in the area

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested a man from Joseph village in Jabal Al-Zawiya which is located in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, and took him to one of its prisons in order to question him, where the reasons for this arrest are not known so far, where it took place after a security patrol of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-sham raided the house of this man and took him to unknown destination, and sources suggested that he was taken to Al-Iqab Prison which is located in Jabal Al-Zawiya, and this arrest also comes hours after Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham abducted the lawyer Yasser al-Saleem along with Abdelhamid al-Bayyoush, where the arrest took place in Kafr Nubl town in the southern countryside of Idlib after midnight of yesterday, and they were taken to an unknown destination. The sources believed that they were transferred to al-Iqab prison (The Punishment Prison) in Jabal al-Zawiyah, but no information about reasons of the arrest at the moment, while the sources confirmed that the arrest was carried out because of posts on the social media platform, Facebook, by the lawyer Yasser al-Saleem, where he wrote:

“Our people in Kafriya and al-Fu’ah, we await your return impatiently, to live in peace after we get rid of terrorism of al-Assad and ISIS”, al-Saleem asserted that many people have asked him to delete the post but he confirmed that it was a “call to overthrow the regime; not to reconcile with it,” and that he will not delete the post even if he was imprisoned in al-Iqab Prison of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham which is one of the notorious prisons, and al-Saleem wrote in another post: “the axioms do not need to be mentioned, and how for a persons call for the fall of Assad to embrace the idea of reconciliation with him?!” and he warned the informants not to report to the security authorities and that the Syrian regime could not imprison him despite the dangers at the start of the revolution, while a situation of tension and fear prevail for their lives.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received sound clips on Friday, the 14th of September 2018, intersected sources said that they belong to the leader of the security force of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib city, in which he stated:

“Coordinate with those responsible for the demonstrations and tell them that we are with you, your brothers, and what you need, we are with you to protect you, the speak is free so why not saying a word of good, and they will say we do not need anything so tell them we will demonstrate with you, and we are Muslims and demand the overthrow of the regime, also there is a very important issue should not appear in the western media, that the people are making us their enemy, and that the people have dropped our banner and they run over it, so be careful, if a banner was risen; there will be someone who will pull it down and run over it, and it will appear on the western media that they have run over the banner of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, this is a big issue, this means that the battle will be against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the future, and the people ready to declare the battle in demonstrations, so if the people pulled our banner in front of the media; this means that the battle has been prepared against us, let them raise the banner of the revolution, and we will show them on the fronts of clashes who fight and stay patience to support the religion of Allah, and sacrifice their blood for the blood of Muslims and keeping their honor, and the majority say that the axis in battle is Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and if Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham is gone, then the Syrian north is gone, you have there people with their own purposes, and many people say this as well but they forget if they get angry, but we must reduce the sedition and be a bulwark between the general Muslims -and most of them are ignorant- and between the seditions, and the officials in Idlib and its countryside have to alert for not raising flags of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and to reassure the demonstrators that no flags of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham will be risen, and that any member of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham or their supporters will go out to overthrow the regime, and any person who raises the flag -of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham- will be arrested and investigated about his identity and goals of raising the flag of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and you must coordinate and cooperate with each other and with supervisors of the demonstrations, because we do not want to have things that may separate us then have these things thrown at Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, because it is intended to provoke sedition because of us.”
